    I see the links to Amazon have been taken down after I ordered them. I ordered the exact same rack that you installed but I received a totally different unit. I sent that one back and they again sent me the same one as a replacement. After some back and forth with the provider they told me to keep the incorrect rack at no cost to me, and that they were going to Amazon to update the aforementioned rack. The provider also mentioned to me that the rack in question had been discontinued. The idea you had is a sound one, so I looked until I found another rack that was close and made it work based on your instructions. This was on an 850 2021. Thank you.

    I have now watched all of your videos helping my dad do research on his next ATV. We are both avid riders on the street and off-road. Keep up the content! This seems to be the ATV that my dad is the most interested in and I can't wait to show him your videos on it!

    I've tried those Amazon lock and rides knockoffs. I found them to be more if a pain in the butt. And the ones that have eyelets for tue downs pop out, no matter how much I tighten them. Id just buy the oem ones.

    Fantastic!! Where did the black spacers come from though? Or did you just cut some pvc to fit?

    I've ask before, do the tires ever even get close to the fenders? Couldn't they have made more storage. Even fender boxes with lids. After market maybe?

      I've never had an issue with the tires being close to the fenders. I've not looked for storage but I'm sure somebody makes some.

    What did you use for the spacers? Do you have an amazon link for the spacers?

    • @nykbob
      @nykbob Před 2 lety

      I actually had those lying around, but PVC pipe cut to size would work just fine. Mine are about one inch tall. Without the spacers the lock and rides would pull out of the ATV holes when you tighten the lock handles.

    Nice job but harbor freight for 60 bucks sells a rack that goes into your hitch receptacle so you can not only carry say a cooler and some chairs for you and your rider it takes even less time to put on and take off with only a single hitch pin to put on and take off.but hey whatever works for ya!!

    Does your 2up seat jiggle and have play in it? I I have a 2020 1000 touring sportsman and the second seat rattles around a decent amount

    • @nykbob
      @nykbob Před 3 lety

      No play. My seat seems very snug once snapped into place. I have heard of people with the same issue discovering that either they were not placing the seat correctly, or that the front bottom of the seat that clips onto a rail has broken off.

    • @SXShub
      @SXShub Před 3 lety

      Damn, ya mine is locked in for sure. It’s just got this little bit of wiggle to it that’s terribly annoying.

    Why not use regular nuts so the deck is smooth?

    • @oldguyrides4376
      @oldguyrides4376  Před 3 lety +1

      You probably could but you would need washers to hold the rack down, and the stem of the blue lock n ride might stick up leaving a sharper point. The knobs allow me to remove the tray in minutes so I can reinstall the rear seat. Switching takes about 2 minutes.

    Is the seat on a 570 or 850 Touring as easy to remove?

    • @nykbob
      @nykbob Před 3 lety

      From what I can tell the 850 seat is exactly the same. However, It looks like the 570 seat is not set up in the same way so I’m not sure if the back section is removable like on the 1000 and 850.

    • @SgtDuster
      @SgtDuster Před 3 lety

      @@nykbob Thanks!
      Yeah, after some more investigation, it seems that the 570's passenger seat is molded into the driver's seat unlike the 850 and 1k where it's a separate seat.
      I'm still wondering if the backrest on the 570 is removable though.

    • @cliffmorrison1130
      @cliffmorrison1130 Před 3 lety

      @@SgtDuster it’s not. 570 touring has a 1 piece seat for both driver and passenger.

      What's interesting is that Polaris used to have a storage box that fit in the hole and the lid filled in the area and looked like the rest of the rack. For some reason they disconued it, just like they discontinued a box that fits in the space above the muffler
