Maybe you don't fluff the eggs right.. because thats really what makes it a macaron.. well mostly You also have to smack them on the counter in the tray before you bake
Try cooking your flour to dry it out. Humidity could be making the macarons crack and then you need to dry out the flour to remove as much moisture as you can.
I agree but i feel like they can exclude some details. These videos are supposed to be short and sweet, but if they include all the details it'll just be a bunch of tasty 101 videos

This video annoyed me.. first off when they added the sugar to the egg whites it completely Deflated the peaks making a soft peak.. they also didn’t sift there almond flour and the powder sugar making the batter lumpy.. last but not least they didn’t make the macarons the same size. I love tasty, but they even did a episode on how to perfect a macaron.. ._. (Edit: also if I have any spelling errors just tell me and I’ll correct it)
Also, you're supposed to add sugar gradually to your meringue. If you add all at once you risk deflating the meringue. Also, adding sugar slowly creates a stronger meringue so your macarons are more likely to work. Your meringue will have a even more likely chance to deflate if your sugar has lumps in it. Don't do this, please.
@Micheal Rows no. the macaron is a cookie made out of a meringue and almond meal mixed with powdered sugar. the ones Tasty make are made from a French meringue so they're called French meringue macarons. ones made with an Italian meringue are harder but definitely worth it
Help! I rest the batter after tapping them for an hour and it will not create the thick layer where you can rub your finger across the macaroon. It took me at least 25 minutes to get my eggs(room temp) to a soft peak and I tried to get them to the hard peak but it never would (I have tried to bake them twice). Even with adding the sugar slowly. Any suggestions?

The same as ribbon stage. The idea is that the macaron in liquid stage does not fall from the spatula in chunks but in a more fluid way.
