Here in France, there's concern over a creeping gender segregation in certain suburbs. In some cafés, which are frequented only by men, women are simply not welcome. But activists are determined to fight back and make sure everyone can share the public space. This report was recently broadcast by our colleagues at France 2 and has been sparking conversations ever since.
A programme prepared by Patrick Lovett, Jessica Sestilli and Elom Marcel Toble.

@@rafaelalba4582 Yeah but this video does the opposite. Those reporters are NOT being particularly PC, so your comment doesn't really apply to this video at all since they do mention religion being a problem and even point out how some Muslims object to these women. I think the reporters here are doing a valuable job and are not part of the problem at all, since they are actually willing to look into this issue and admit that it's got to do with the Islamic religion and culture.
But unfortunately, most news articles don't have the guts to do the same, that's for sure.

@@MrGregHiller can live in harmony in this time.
But back then in the crusades time, in the inquisition time, remember the times when if you say: the hearth move around the sun..... youll ended in jail bacause the bible said the hearth was the COW (center of universe)
And is basically the religion live in harmony because the people get smarter and stop believing in gods.
In other times if you was an atheists you were in jail or dead.
The real problem is the religion itself no only Muslims.
Even the christian bible talk about killing "unfaithful"
And muslime almost the same religion as
      Jews and christians.
      The difference is:
Muslims believe mohamed and jesus was prophets. And thats why they dont accepts jesus as son pf god.
And cristians thinks jesus is the god son and who died and revived at 3rd day.
And jews you know they killed jesus for say him was the god son.
Those 3 religions have been fighting for thousands years.
Saying they are the true religion of god.
But one thing those 3 religions have in common is how they trate women :v
Just see how Muslims behave or read this nice biblical passage:
      1 Timothy 2-12
I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.

The separation of the individual is a part of the status quo. The French Government and the Rich want this. By separating not only men and women, but also by race and culture; you weaken individuals and thus break representation into weaker groups. The first signs of this were through the reduction of the middle class. When you remove a healthy economic class, you severely reduce their role in the economy and thus it is ruled by the state and the rich.

@@rixille That may be true but is the French government giving them strict orders on how to behave once here? How they behave once in France is entirely their own doing. I have lived in France for 47 yrs and I've seen changes, great changes. When I arrived, although there was an important Muslim presence for they had come over at the demand of the French government to help rebuild the country, I never saw any woman wearing a hijab let alone a niqab or a burqa or heard of areas where women were made to feel unwelcome, everyone got along. Over the years though, there most certainly has been a change, as if there were a sort of Islam revival of some communities, more and more women sporting the hijab even the tchador and women who've not just arrived but were born in France. Look to the mosques I say where certain imams are preaching hatred of the West and of our culture.

France is a secular country and has been since 1905 and it's very deeply engrained in French society so France does not bow to Muslims as other Western countries seem to be doing, so give our government some credit please.

Your automatic thinking is incognizant of most of the history of world culture. Even in the historic West. Having a men's culture where can men can do their guy thing - talk politics, play games like chess and cards or whatever games exist locally, drink coffee or tea or whatever the local drinks are, and just converse - can protect women from male predatory behavior. That's the concept, and it undoubtedly has existed in various forms throughout world history almost everywhere in the world. That doesn't mean that what we are seeing here is not pathological. But having a male culture does not make the men's meeting place "gay hookup spots" as you suggest.

All people should respectfully seek to follow their beliefs, religion, atheism, culture etc, BUT not all peoples/ideologies/belief systems can coexist in the same city when they are at such polarizing opposites.
Even the more liberal side of Islam does not necessarily coexist peacefully in the same place. This makes importing immigrants who are pro-gender segregational Islam extremists to a western country like France 🇫🇷 a incongruent situation that greatly fractures their country and its key beliefs, etc. If France and it’s political decisions had been more focused on bringing in immigrants that were more agreeable to French culture and its law of the land then the feminist liberals running France would not have this problem to begin with. Churches are vacant in France, and most have abandoned the Christian faith so returning to that is not likely. Im sure the liberals there want votes so they bring in immigrants that will be on their side, where as muslim Christians from the middle east would assimilate easier in the west, BUT they would likely vote more towards a Conservative Christian ideology, which is not what their government wants. It is a slow death of a western nation grown on Christian beliefs that is slowly being subverted by the liberal side to pass more & more power
over to a politically godless society that ironically partly uses religious Islam extremist immigrants that oppose Christian conservative values to decrease Frances traditions/culture. Only those 2-4 women were walking in those “men only areas” of town who don’t realize that most of the female extremists are living the way their culture/values taught them, which is what they are comfortable continuing it appears. Sweden, Germany, France, UK, and more are all having problems assimilating immigrants from countries with polarizing religions, beliefs and ideologies that are basically complete opposites.
      Ex.
Could a town survive that was only sport animal hunters that are focused on working in coal and oil production PEACEFULLY WITH greenpeace hippies who work in wildlife/nature preservation next door? Maybe a few people but once you get more clashes with mobs from both sides...?
Maybe a more similarly focused culture/ideology would have assimilated better, but politics, money, power, and control over the country seems to prevent it.

you know I realised something the other day, I live in a family area of houses which have mostly families... one of the houses wants to be converted into an HMO, which is were multiple unrelated people live together.
There is a lot of resistance to it because it will change the dynamic and character of the area, increase the traffic and you're get more single people, more problems, noisier etc...
Now this is exactly like a parallel of immigration! If another family move in, regardless of where they're from etc no problem, but this is equivalent to "regulated immigration"
But permitting anyone to move into the area, to create any kind of household, is equivalent to "unregulated immigration" and the reason unregulated immigration is a problem, is because it will change things in ways that are unwelcome, the area will no longer be what it used to be - it will lose its character, energy, dynamic etc, which people want to preserve
So yes, we accept immigration but not if it's unregulated and unconditional. Immigrants can't emigrate and not be willing to learn the language, learn about cultural norms, integrate etc, they have have their private lives and subculture, but they're still part of a new society.
Especially if they're refugees and been give santuary...

I believe every culture is rich and has interesting sides to them. I believe integration and intercommunication can solve many problems faced in our society and that we have more in common than we think. The issue is a prominent misogynistic tradition brought along and carried on under the guise of tolerance. There’s nothing wrong with speaking your language, doing art, eating food, sharing customs from your home country, the issue is a gender-based discriminatory behaviour. But in countries made up of ethnic clans (which France increasingly is), this is to the disadvantage of the native people.
I don't want to pay for strangers.

For instance, have a look at the video about Norway's Muslim immigrants attending classes on western attitudes on women. Likewise, since you are quite clearly an idiot and don't know how the BBC works - it is public and tax payer funded. That means it has tighter regulations and needs to be careful that it doesn't show attitudes that can influence fringe views.
