@ConduitKingg It’s really just that he seemed to refuse to grapple in the octagon, if he improves on his grappling defense I’d say he can be right in the mix with the other top middle weights
@ConduitKingg that depends on what you consider to be "not that long ago", his fight with Whittaker was 4 years ago. That's actually quite a long time, a lot can change in 4 years and he's been inactive for nearly two years. Inactivity and racking up losses is bad for confidence, and I would say that's probably why people find it hard to believe he will ever win a title. That being said, anything is possible in combat sports, I've been watching Boxing and MMA for well over a decade by now (mostly Boxing) and I know by now that literally anything can happen, so who knows.
Till is a prime example of what a person looks like, when they buy into their own hype.
Tbf most the ufc fanbase were buying into his hype not too long ago.

Darren's fight against Duplessis really bothered me. I thought that he was elevating his game by going and training with Chimaev, And the fact that that performance was the outcome was just really disappointing.

Crazy to remember the Till v Masvidal press conference in 2019 when Leon was just getting disrespected all week. Who would’ve thought in 5 years Edwards would’ve been a defending champion whilst Darren and Jorge have been washed out of the UFC
Trust me real ones knew. Masvidal was always a step above a journeyman and till grappling was always sus as well.
Well Like him or not, Masvidal has had the biggest career resurgence in that run, at least in terms of status.
At least Masvidal became a global superstar and made millions on millions and retired on his own accord despite being a journeyman.
Till was touted to be the next Conor and left the UFC in his prime after getting destroyed in his last 5 fights.

I daresay Till's confidence is crossing into the territory of downright delusion. As an MMA coach myself, I never thought he looked elite, even in the striking department he apparently specialises in.

I can't get behind him until he proves he has the drive. He was on top of it and let it all go. And it was mostly due to not training. Im not saying he wasn't trying but to be champ...it has to take up all of your focus. Don't think he wants to win that much. But I would love to see him do well cause everyone used to love him.
