CS2 should had more contrast, skins looks way too grey imo

Tbh I'd say it does look adequate to the surroundings and it does make sense that skins on a sunny map like Dust 2 look bright.
This game has a dynamic lighting so it might be just a matter of map. On some darker maps (or places) like Ancient, Nuke they might look closer to CS:GO's skins.

CS2 has such a matte look to it. Its better for the maps but for most guns its definitely a downgrade. Then suddenly you have some mid skins from CSGO which looks amazing on CS2

Also the lighting is different on each map.
anything reflective looks 10x better, that means, all the case hardends, all the slaugther, fades, doppler ruby, saphire, gamma emerald etc. will most likely double in price
All the skins that are more about artwork got super murky and hard to see, meanwhile any skin that is material based or engraving based got a massive upgrade. even the cheap army sheen skin now has a beautiful elegant gold accent to it.

Still early days boys, the last thing they'll be worrying about is the skins. But yeah I agree the color looks drained and muted.

The skins have too much of a matte finish and lost a lot of the texture. There definitely needs to be more contrast between colors.

A lot of the skins look nice in CS2 lighting, but I hope at least some more get put onto the new model.
You can clearly see that they havent worked on the skins at all yet so comparing them now is a little pointless. The reflection levels on the wood and metal part of the AK is the exact same, they'll 100% change the way skins look.
I really hope you're right because everything darker is just so flushed out and there's zero contrast. The only things that look better are metallic
i dont like the black colour in cs2, it almost feels like powder or matte finish rather than dark gradeof black which makes it feel like unnatural and too washed. i hope they address it in upcoming patches
Buff the contrast and the skins will look better in cs2.
But as of now, Bloodsport and Hydroponic look so much better in cs2...that metallic finish is perfect

Dang it...I just finally got a vulcan too. Im hoping they make some adjustments before release because it has become by favorite item in my inventory

@@M_Oz_ My first was a Neon Rider and Its one of the few skins I've kept all this time. I did want to upgrade my vulcan eventually (its like a .156 float) but if its really going to look like this in game I'm not sure its worth the investment. I will most likely wait until the game releases to make a decision.
at least it looks fairly similar, i have a fire serp and that shit looks horrible in cs2.

I was wondering if i should buy asiimov or redline but after looking at this, the redline was kinda dissapointing with the black wood on the front looks more like a dull texture compared to original cs which actually gives the skin abit more texture to it. Going with asiimov then i guess. Thanks for this video!

@@SlinkyDust I ended up buying Mk01 orbit cause first, its from hydra case (pretty rare) and in cs2, the red color on the AK is much better. Looks alot better imo. But im gonna upgrade to nightwish when i have the money.
@@pirewinthiren2237 night wish doesn't look good in cs2 I think most of the skins are on old model it may get better on the new model ^^ btw I have neon rider mw and I'm using it since 2021 I hope the new model will make it more mat not bright ^^

Does anybody notice that there are 2 different models for the ak47 as well? Compare the stock/safari mesh/inheritance model with the slate/case hardened for example. Look at the ironsight at the front/middle.
Its not exactly the official release so i think theyll add a bit more but i do like the skins since it gives way for stickers to stand out more.

Had an low float FT jaguar that looked very clean in csgo, but like trash in cs2 with scratches everywhere. I hope they fix those float problems.

Looks like an upgrade to every ak skin which has its metal/polymer part not fully covered up with skin, like: fire serpent, jet set, blue laminate etc.
In CS:GO the vanilla ak skin was scuffed and so these skins were, no matter their float value.
True. Immediately bought AK47 Cartel which I think is the coolest skin in the game but ruined by the awful default AK in GO

They have the LUMINANCE turned up way too much in CS2. Don’t confuse Luminance with Brightness, or Saturation. I hope they turn it down.

All the guns have new models in CS2, porting pattern based skins onto the new models probably takes just a few clicks, but non pattern based skins have to be redone on the new model. So most CSGO skins will remain on the CSGO models, unless they commit to remaking every skin

I see that cs2 have really bad time trying to show black. I csgo black I very dark while in cs2 it's more like dark gray, also some skins that rely on contrast sometimes looks worse kim point dissaray looks like it was wiped with dirt rag and makes it look kinda blurry while in frontside misty this bright blue really nicely contrasts with white and black. Also what is funny that on emerald stripe Ak is way more "blacker" that slate which should be the blackest of all. Some skins like safety net have really nice black but others are just mehh. I hope there will be a "black fix" on skins and some skins should be slightly brighter, bloodsport in sun looks amazing but in dark it looks like shit
