It is now," I tear up. The way Ryan asks that. It's really like no one else is in the room. No cameras, no crew, just them and it's real. Then how she answers it tops it off perfectly. That's my favorite part of that entire movie. A guy filled with rage and humor has a moment of feeling completely vulnerable. I loved that.

I think knowing takes some of the magic away. Basically, a tune that's already known if slowed down and played during a sad scene can evoke emotions of sadness. This is often done in video games, where the main theme of the game is played slower during a melancholic scene to make you feel sadder than you would have felt without the music.

My brother, who I was very close to, passed from cancer just this year. Deadpool 2 was one of the last movies we talked about; he had watched it in the hospital during one of his treatments. I didn't expect just listening to this song to wreck me the way it did, but sometimes the feelings hit you in unexpected ways.

This scene from Deadpool 2, just broke me. It's incredible that it's the same lyrics but a completely different take on the original. This speaks to my soul. It makes me think of all the people I've lost, who I loved. If I could die while listening to a song, it would be this one.

Deadpool 2 is a masterpiece that will never get the credit it truly deserves. I still remember watching this in cinema crying tears of laughter throughout the whole movie but at the very it did something I didn’t expect at all in a Deadpool movie. It made me cry tears of sadness. It’s still the only movie that has managed to do that to me and that’s why it will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️

This moment in the movie is probably one of the very few that makes me cry every time.
Its amazing how the pace changes the way we view the lyrics.
The original being upbeat felt encouraging like a dream of the future. Endless possibilities stretched out before us.
The new slower version seems bittersweet. Like remembering days gone by. Missed opportunities, those that we did take. Love lost, love gained and how it ends shortly.
This song epitomized the beautiful essence of the 1980's and the magic of the world we felt back then. This version to me, is a bitter sweet goodbye to all that I felt in the 1980's and the innocence of our teen years and growing up in that era.
