Useful and thorough information!
Glad someone made a video about it.
Great video. Thanks for the information ☺️
I like! You can produce well. Your channel is getting ridiculously well.
Ciao!
Really interesting! I fully watched 😀
Your video has changed the whole way I look at this discipline.
I am going to study this master next year wish me luck.
Thanks for watching! I'm sure you will do great. Best of luck 👌
Thanks for sharing❤👍
Good job and thanks 😍😍😍
There are Computational Science degrees that specialise in some of the areas you mentioned. The curriculum is quite similar.
I will be starting my new position as a High Performance Computation Engineer for Northrop Grumman with a salary of $140,000! I have a Bachelor in Technical Management and currently working on my Master in Computer Science. This video gives a really good insight what I will be doing day to day.
Congrats on landing such an exciting position at NG! NG is a great company to work for I've heard. Best of luck in grad school and thanks for watching👏
Bro u landed in dream job
I did my undergrad in mechanical Engg discipline and did my postgrad from Mechanical Design engg. Currently I am doing research in this area to get a good Ph.D degree from a better university, I never knew that this domain has got such wonderful future in the coming years. Thanks for sharing😊🙏
Please make a video on Computational Materials Science and a comparison to Computational Engineering, please 🙏🏽
I am confused with courses that Harvard and MIT offers for masters student. Harvard focuses on data analysis while MIT focuses on physics and engineering. Can you please make a separate video on the courses differences
Interesting episode
I think computational engineering is the best for me. Graduating this may 2024 as BSc ME
I’m a first year Mechanical Engineering major. Next semester (spring) I am taking my first engineering class which is: computational engineering. I had no idea this discipline existed but am looking forward to getting my feet wet.
Plz make a video on mechanical engineering vs computational engineering
اشكرك لك على الفيديو الرائع من البداية حتي النهايه اتمنى لك يوم سعيد بالتوفيق والنجاح الدائم انشاء الله
What is difference between MnC (Maths and computing) branch and Computational Engineering branch?
Would this be an optimal major if somebody's interested in developing 3D software, e.g. Houdini or Blender?
بالتوفيق البصمة الاولى والمشاهدة مستمره
Beautiful video I like it beautiful video
Should one with pure mechanical Engineering degree should/could do masters in it no knowledge of programming accept a lil bit paython knowledge?
For someone who has honors in a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology, what some of the masters research projects in mechanical engineering he can do to end up in computational engineering work environment
Is computational science and engineering same as mathematics and computer science?
i am waiting for your answer 😊.
Is bachelor in mechanical enough for masters degree? In computational mechanics
are computational science, computational mechanics and computational engineering same thing? or there is a difference? Also thank you very much for elaborating very nicely.
Quite late response, but from my experience there is no strict definition for these terms. Different universities and companies can have a different understanding of the same term.
But I personally would say that computational science sounds very brought, and it could apply to many disciplines like physics, chemistry, engineering or even finance. On the other hand computational machanics is more specific, focusing for example on finite element simulations and the like. :)
@@ComputationalModelingExpert Thank you man.
I’m thinking of going into computational science master program. I have a double major in CS and Electrical Engineering. Thoughts?
A Masters’s degree in Computational Science will definitely compliment your EE and CS degrees very well!
Since there are so few undergraduate programs that offer computational engineering, what discipline of engineering would you suggest getting as a undergrad before pursuing computational engineering for a masters or doctorate?
I would say STEM majors like mathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering are the best if you want to pursue computational engineering in grad school🙂
Try to check predictive modeling and scientific computing course from univeristy of warwick
Why would a computational engineer work a job vs. owning a consulting business? They're abilities easily make millions for companies. What's a 100k for all of those skills?
👍8~謝謝分享💕💕
im in the last year of msc in structural engineering. im am not good in programming that much however if i study a bit may i apply for a computational engineering position? it seems like a curriculum etc overlap a lot so most of the knowledge should be there.
You can definitely apply for a computational engineering position! Computational engineering definitely plays a big role in the field of structural engineering. I would say knowing some programming like Fortran or C++ will be helpful, but understanding the theory behind finite element method and other numerical methods as well as knowing how to apply them are more essential.
@@EngineeringGoneWild thank you!!
Any major diff btw computational engg and computational mechanics.?? Also there is other course named computational thermo fluids. Thoughts?? Plz repl. TIA
Computational mechanics/ thermodynamics/ fluid are just branches of computational engineering, which focuses on methods of modelling and simulating complicated physical phenomena pertaining to each of these areas
My university's Structural engineering program covers a lot of these subjects. Would a bachelors in civil engineering followed by a masters in structural be able to open the door into doing FEA and CFD in other industries? I know quite a few graduates get jobs in the offshore wind turbine industry.
Will it be woth it if I take data science after BS in computational engineering ?
Yes data science compliments computational engineering quite well, as a huge part of computational engineering is data science i.e. collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data
@@EngineeringGoneWild thankyou
Can I work as a software engineer after studying computational engineering???
Yes without a doubt. You might consider taking a computer science course focusing on algorithms and data structures to prep for SWE interviews🙂
@@EngineeringGoneWild thankyou
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Sounds like Applied Physics
Does NASA need computational engineers?
NASA hires a good amount of computational engineers (mainly CFD) to develop turbulence models used in large eddy, combustion, and heat transfer simulations for understanding turbomachinery aerodynamic-structural interactions, active film cooling of propulsion components, and aircraft icing🙂
yes
