Reviewing the Aeroplane Heaven Douglas C-47 & Waco CG4A

Great stuff....There was a load of D-Day related craft on route to Normandy and circling the beaches on D-Day...so well done to the simmers for that. Felt great seeing them all.
Is there any way to actually get the C-47 tow aircraft to tow you in a particular direction or toward a particular destination? I assume most people would like to simulate d-day and be towed across the channel, but I don't think we can actually control the direction of the tow aircraft in MSFS like that.
That's the one thing I haven't tested, I would've thought making a flight plan for the CG4A would make the C-47 follow that plan. I will have to try it.
I don't think so unfortunately. I tried making a flight plan from the south coast of England to Normandy. But the C 47 tow plane just turned after a while, as I think it's programmed to stay close and return to the runway as the other tow planes. Would be nice to see a fix.
Brit glider pilot regiment pilots in normandy were told to return to allied lines and fly another load back over the next night. In Arnhem that was obviously not an option for the Brits and so yes as you say they had to fight. I don't know what the Americans did but certainly the Brits did try to get their pilots back and take another load the next night where it was possible. Also the Horsa and Hamilcar were better gliders than these little Wacos.
Ty for the video. Quick question. How do you open the crew door? Thx
Hey Boresight (or anyone else who may know), how do you open the pilot's door with ladder and crewman? I've searched the cockpit and have been unable to find a switch.
If you look over your right shoulder down towards the lower half of the fuselage you'll see a square sheet of metal with some holes in, if you hover your mouse cursor over that it will highlight blue. Click that and go to external view and you'll see that it has opened the crew door.
@@boresight2020 thank you very much!
Definitely feels like it was rushed out, obviously it’s just a reskin of the dc3 with some added extras, but it’s still fun, the free livery pack for pc is also good even if it has a couple of texture bugs.
Knowing how excellent aeroplane heaven are, these aircraft will get incredibly good over time.
I agree. I like it, but there are things that seem unfinished texturewise. Although I don't know how the real C47 sounds inside, I feel there should be more bass and punch to the sound. I hope for more updates going forward. 🙂
Tutorial on how to launch ?
If you are in the Waco CG4A all you need to do is wiggle your rudder pedals and a few seconds after it will start rolling.
Hi how do you open the access door
You have to pick the lead plane liverie and the door smitch is red and above to the left
@@jakobite_ta2152 thank you
Well mate, i took a punt on it today so that mowny would go to charity...
Thats all its good for. Im really disappointed with this effort, its really poor! Sounds are bad, few teztures missing, glitches, overall jsut nowhere near as good as the DC3 they did unfortunately.
