Well, I was a lecturer back in Nigeria (College of Nursing). I am presently working as a nurse (came to the UK Sept this year) and did my masters in public health and postgraduate diploma in education. I really want to go back to academia. I am happy to hear this

Irene I think Nannelle and I also want to know which salary is better , YOUR lecturer's salary and or band 7 salary ? Straight forward question ❓
Salary structures differ from uni to uni. But on a whole, a lecturer's salary is not very different from a clinician's salary.
In any case, salary structures are in the open on the internet but should be tailored to specific universities.

I think for the nurses they will mostly want you to be registered with the uk nmc. When my husband was offered his phd scholarship he was given a time frame to complete that

Okay. This is some interesting information. Sadly I haven't yet managed to finish it. Nanelle this time forgot to put time stamps 😭. Who earns more between a band 5 RN working from normal NHS or a Lecturer in UK? Assuming the lecturer works 5 days and also the RN works 5 days. Who can earn more? Was there a comparison there? I definitely will finish this video later. If someone has gone to the end please respond 😁. Thank you

Ow I have videos on midwives tooo. But generally most of the things applicable to nurses are applicable to midwives tooo . I just forget to add “midwives “ in my mind we are all nurses
People get fantastic offers (ie: excellent paying offers) but still leave for academia with the reason being simple - passion.
Thus, fixation on money alone should not be the focus.
