Gogeta being really good whenever characters approach him is a cool reference to how he fought in GT. Whenever Omega Shenron tried rushing him he would always get flattened by Gogeta.

This is why it's always so nice to watch these videos. Spent my entire time labbing combos for more optimal damage and meter build but then I didn't think about all the other stuff.
And this is where these lovely videos come in, now I can just watch this and get a real good sense of all the other stuff I haven't labbed or thought of.

The only thing I would note would be around 11:25 it is true his lv7 insta kill isn't the reason he's a good character, but adding it to his kit and him being the only character with said kit makes it so dangerous and especially because of what you say afterwards "if you got to lv7 you probably hurt the opponent a little bit already" that's where it's dangerous for example say you kill said hurt character now the mid or anchor comes in and they're dead off of 1 hit now. And with that his "job" would be done and everything else he does after is bonus.
But the lv7 insta kill is probably it's whole own concept to talk about in another sense.

I want to thank you for the info on the level 7 super. It’s hype and great to finish with style but this character is so good without it. You won’t need that level 7 in most cases
I really like him with Baby B assist for full screen tracking as well as ZBroly A assist for having a big full screen heavy beam-orb (both easy to convert off of and in combos)

Pretty much everyone is happy to have those assists.
Lmao i had to replace UI with SOMEONE in my shell lol. Just had to change the placements, now ZBroly is on Anchor, Baby Point, and Gogeta (a assist) on Assist (to build levels and meter with his assist)

i havent watched the whole vid yet but i dont think many ppl know this but HIS QCF BUTTON GOES THROUGH SUPERS LIKE UI FLIPS you may have said that and i didnt see yet but if you didnt know try it out its not as good as ui cuz it ends fast but like its a hard counter to 17 lvl 3 goku black lvl 3 any super thats a short progectile not beam but even beam it can hit them if ut close enough and get the timing
by qcf button i mean his lightning punch the one thats proge invul is actually FULL pro invul like ui flips

Ssj 4 gogeta might be the best fusion but my favorite is Kefla.
i just wish kefla got more spice like the other season 3 characters did
@@hiTycho same. Seeing what they did with the rest of the characters this season makes me wonder if she was a scrapped season 2 character.
In the game Kefla is super fun but I find her so annoying in the anime. Mainly because I hate both Caulifla and Kale.
@@notkyle6969 I honestly felt like kefla was above the season 2 characters too just from how she looks, her level 3 and her built in overhead just seemed new and fancy
7:05 I really liked the way Apologyman was showcasing the last two DLC characters on the official live stream.
It was very clean and I was impressed he achieved to do so much with these new characters with just a few hours of training.
He is not on the top of pro players but he's still a very skilled and humble player.
I'm gonna follow his channel just to support him.
Great stuff! Looking forward to trying out this character more, and a lot of the options you talked about are a great starting point. One cool extra point about his level 1 is that the grounded version takes corner from anywhere on the screen, and that really helps enable pressure for characters with level 3 supers that have stronger corner oki, like Hit or Yamcha.
I knew most of what you've talked about but this video has helped me a lot by confirming stuff I wasn't sure about and giving me a good idea to how to use Gogeta's strengths and cover his weaknesses. I'm trying to get enough confidence to jump to online ranked matches more often and just gain experience that way, so videos like these help me a lot.
I've checked your channel and I've seen you have similar guides for a bunch of other characters and game mechanics/tech, so I've subscribed. I hope to see more videos like these for other characters, like there were months ago (although to be fair I think you've covered every character I'm interested in playing regularly: DBS Broly, UI Goku (not like a brainless madman, I swear!), Baby and now Gogeta, not sure if you've done Adult Gohan or Trunks though).

I thing I love to do when I am doing pressure is to use like a beam assist and do either a side switch or a double air dash same side mixup and I switch it up all the time

The good thing about building levels (besides damage buff) is the added pressure your opponent feels as you get closer and closer to level 7. even if you dont intend to actually use it.

31:01 You dont get knocked back as far, because reflect distance varies with frame advantage. If you do J.m land, youre less plus than you would be with J.ml (since youre refreshing hitstun right before you hit the ground) And thus you dont get sent as far back.
you can do ex lariat into rekka into ex lariat again into rekka again into ex lariat into assist etc it’s fun and decent dmg

I mean we've seen broken stuff in this game before this, but yeah 5M is definitely his best normal.
He can also react to jirens 214s with 236h did it on accident earlier but labbed as long as I'm not paying attention its super reliable

You can propably react with slow level 3 too and just kill Jiren, not sure though.

Doesn't his 6H open up fuzzy mixups with assists like Base Goku similar to the other Gogeta and his rekka?
No because he doesn't have a low 2L and the low 6H is slower than the overhead one so you can block. He says in the video.
@@gamerkron2219 Bruh fuzzies are IAD j.LL vs 2M. If you knew that you would know that Gogeta 6H fuzzies are real.

Hmmm its true that lvl7 might not get used normally but what if you build a team around it? For example using gogeta at point with neutral & defensive assists? Leveling up scares the opponent and will make them try to come at you which will probably cause them to rush and make mistakes

the lv7 is a good tool you can kill the assist
I'm kinda surprise that his ki blast do quite a good damage in combo. Mixing it here and there for free damage.

hi rath!! i have troubles to build a team around gogeta ssj4. I think its important to consider a team building which allows easy level ups for instant kill . (but is it a priority? i don't know) . he has not a good neutral , so i'd like neutral assists too . And i'm mainly a vegito player , so i love the left right mix ups , i love to crossup , so i love blockstun assist, especially with a character able to double airdash / fuzzy mix!! ... so i don't manage to choose between all this options... here are the characters i usually play , could you suggest me a team , with assits?? i just want to play him ABSOLUTELY in point . So: i play : Vegito , yamcha , ui , goku black , yamcha , tien , vegetabase , janemba , adult gohan . I play ALL this characters a lot , and sometimes i play brolyz or goku ssj . Considering this bunch of characters , can you suggest me one (or 2 , 3 ,4 ) teams , whith the assists of course ?

Hey Rath. My guy. Im having trouble and I feel you can help. I got a hitbox about a month ago. It's great and I like the thing is, im in this awkward state of play, where I'm progressing with the hitbox and slowly loosing my pad muscle memory. And I'm inefficient in both places. Gogeta just came out. And idk if I should learn him on hitbox or pad. But I'm noticing I'm struggling with both. I can play cell ui and ssj vegeta but A21 gtku and baby is a bit more complicated for my fingers right now so I use that team on pad. Any input?

He's propably best as a Mid or a Point. If you can pair him with an assist that covers a lot of the screen like a beam he would be godlike.

It's a SnapKick. He does it so fast his foot is back in the knee position before you can observe it. If u slow it down u can see it. Shit made me giddy when I saw that lol they really emphasize his speed
So to sum things up
Ssj4 Gogeta: god of rushdown.
Pretty much yeah, also if he makes you block he has great pressure and mixup.

You gotta use a heavy attack so you don't smash your opponent into a sliding knockdown

Keep them out with Ki Blasts, use Barrier Once in a while to keep them from out zoning you, look out of superdash, use his orb and armor moves in neutral, if you get in once in a while use his light command grab and frame trap your opponent to have a 50/50.
I have no idea how to get that IAD to come out that quick at 22:26..

Hey Rath thanks so much for your videos. I just wanted to ask, I'm having a lot of trouble to confirm j.236M into IAD j.M... What am I doing wrong?
What exactly is happening? Do they fall out of the combo before you can confirm?
try to use the j.236M close to the ground (something like 2M > 5M > jump j.M > 236M). airdash as soon as possible, but delay the j.M for a while (you need to give your character time to travel to where the opponent is). I hope this helps!

yes! But it will run the risk of getting mashed out or reflected
@RathFGC Please tell me how you deal with players who keep jumping backwards without attacking.
As they're falling use a move that reaches far away and cancel into vanish or simply use an assist.
Yo, I was wondering, do you think Android 16's A assist and Krillin's Beam assist would work alongside him?
probably! He seems to work well with most assists on offense, but he definitely likes having projectiles assists for neutral
Is anyone else having trouble doing air dashes with gogeta?
I notice you can't button air dash for Gogeta SSJ4 from ground like other characters. Have to delay more
I'm not, but when I air dash in combos and blockstrings I usually do it with the easy input.
