26: Timecode Part 2 | grandMA3 for grandMA2 Programmers | consoletrainer tutorial 2021

Part 2 of my #grandma3 timecode tutorial is all about editing. I'll cover the window and timecode show settings in more depth. Then, we'll use editing tools in the toolbar and the encoder wheels- with both the Timeline and Text Views. I'll also show you how to add/edit Markers or Time Ranges, and what they can do.

Thank you. I haven't covered phasers yet, because there is some implementation of them that (I think) needs some updating. I'm going to wait until at least version 1.5 is available before I cover them. Looks like there might be some nice updates in that release.

@@consoletrainer what kind of implementation? I’m getting ready to do a large scale conference and they want to implement the usage of ma3. I can wrap my head practically on everything but that 1 act lighting training video isn’t fully cutting it for me at the moment lol.

Seems follow cues don't trigger unless put in as cues on the TC as well... Anything I'm missing?

I bought the grandma3 commandwing without any experience with grandma2. Should I buy 2 and study?

Not necessarily. Both are great products. And you don't even need the wing to play with the software.

Hi Jacky- I will be doing videos on phasers, but for now I'm waiting on new updates to the software before I produce any more. Sounds like there will be some nice updates in v1.5, so I don't want to make too many videos that will be obsolete when the software is updated.
