- Mysterious bargain vending machines. I filmed it at Osaka, Japan(near the Osaka central wholesale market).

The first 2 vending machines are 10 yen drink vending machines. You can buy the drink only 10 yen(about 10 cent). It's 1/10 bargain price, but you don't know what drink will get. The vending machines are random. The third vending machine is also random, and it ejects not only drinks but also candies and so on. The fourth and fifth vending machines are shrine desigend vending machines.

i love how the design shows a man crying (wishing?) for jewelry AND canned drinks. because of course.
He is Japanese famous food reporter and his signature phrase '~'s Hosekibako ya'(Hoseki means Jewl, bako means box. The vending machine is designed on the basis of his signature phrase;)

My guess is that these are items that will soon go out of best-by date (or are already past it- it doesn't mean they're spoiled, best-by dates don't actually mean much) and stores decided to do this instead of throwing the stuff away.

If there was one thing I absolutely loved about Japan it was the vending machines everywhere. I literally remember taking the train back to Narita and seeing a lonely vending machine sitting there by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. Just fields all around it, but there it was.

Wow, I would love a drink machine like this in Australia! So cheap, less waste, you don't even need to choose which drink you want! Of course it would be a bit more expensive than 10 yen here, because that is about how much we can get in NSW now for returning our bottles and cans to recycling machines.

Well drinks especially, if you bought a 4$ 12 pack of soda it would only cost you 33 cents and if you sold it for 50-60 cents your making 2-3$ profit off that 12pack. Buying in bulk you save and theorfore make even more.
So, what kind of product we can get with 50 yen? Since the cover is that a happy man with jewelry????

No one has commented that the machines are all in great condition with nothing broken. The Japanese don't vandalize things like in most other countries. The Japanese police would crack their skulls. Minimal graffiti, gangs, thievery etc. Maybe because there's a VERY minimal amount of black people there? Just a guess.
A bad guess that assumes black people are inherently more violent and destructive (they're not) while glossing over problems Japan does have like every other nation. At least be silent with your racism instead of spewing hateful lies.
I'm not black but you're assuming a lot of things. I've had a couple black friends in my life, one in particular that I remember, back before my grandma moved (as she was close to my grandma's) and she was the nicest person I've probably ever meant. You don't need to assume things about people like that
