  • I bought a Pixel 6 and didn't realize it doesn't have a headphone audio port. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of earbuds so I had to find something different on the market. Fortunately, I found bone conduction headphones, so decided to buy 4 different pairs and review them!

    I watched a blind CZcamsrs that also swears by them. She can get audio navigation for her walk and not block the sounds she also critically needs to navigate the world with the way the environment echos.

    I find this totally amusing. I've been using these for year...along with all my friends as this is a common method of receiving audio if you're hearing impaired. I use them with my hearing aids...cuz they don't go in the ear. My hearing aids go into the air...the head sets go around them.

      Loud enough to use without my hearing aids. The sound goes through the bone....there's a vibrational tingle but I'm used to that with my hearing aids.

    Personally I think they aren't bone conduction just speakers near the ear but these are good but I don't know why when using for talking the person can't hear me. Any solution you might know? Ie settings. I picked them up for 47 pound which was great. Some people don't realise you can pause by pressing the left button.

    My understanding is that Air Conduction has surpassed Bone Conduction in sound quality

    • @mraudiofeedback
      @mraudiofeedback  Před 7 měsíci +1

      That's absolutely correct - companies like Shokz and Soundcore have vastly improved the quality of open-ear air conduction headphones now.

    • @essayharper
      @essayharper Před měsícem +1

      @@mraudiofeedbackas far as I can tell, ear conduction has also surpassed it in quality

    • @tomlewis4748
      @tomlewis4748 Před 25 dny

      That depends on the definition of 'quality'. Frequencies below 300 Hz and above 2000 Hz are not available, but everything else is surprisingly crystal clear and sharp, and for voice, you get enough highs to get the consonants, and enough low end, from 300 to 2K.

  • @tomlewis4748
    @tomlewis4748 Před 25 dny

    Save even more. I got a pair for $30 from Amazon that put my $200 Airpods Pro to shame. The only thing they can't do is active noise cancellation, but if you want that, use earplugs, and the bone phones still get the sound you want through.

    What would a good equilizer be for the android and the 9 digital bone conduction earphone. I tried IQSound but it doesn't list the bone conduction option.

      You don't need a special eq app. Any eq app that works for regular headphones and earphones would work for these. Even the default system eq that comes in the settings of some brands like Samsung would do.

    Why do they sound like they lack volume when on an iPhone and then they sound good on a desktop? Are there settings to establish?

    • @mraudiofeedback
      @mraudiofeedback  Před 8 měsíci

      You can check if your phone has the “reduce loud audio” setting enabled by going into settings, then sound & haptics, then headphone safety. Otherwise I’m not sure what else could be causing that problem.

    • @tomlewis4748
      @tomlewis4748 Před 25 dny

      I've seen no differences in sound level between an iPhone 11 and a 2024 MB Pro when using bone phones.

    • @mraudiofeedback
      @mraudiofeedback  Před 2 lety +1

      If you can't hear the music on Shokz then you should switch to earbuds or headphones because no other bone conduction headphone will be louder.

    Bose did what they should be. Sort of in ear but not completely so it doesn't seal things out. Too bad they abandoned them (Bose Sport buds last one). Don't want bone conduction. Want high quality sound.

    I have used bone conduction headphones for two years, and Shokz Openrun and Wissonly Hi Runner are the most frequently used headphones in the last six months. It must be said that they are worth it. The open-ear feature brings many benefits, such as safety, health, and hygiene.
