Elvis wanted people to think he had no talent on the guitar but the guy was actually a decent rhythm player using simple, basic cowboy style chords.

@@Kinseliplier you'll get the hang of it pretty quickly. In a couple months you'll be able to do the exact same thing (as in strum a few chords) you just have to get the hang of chord changes.

Enjoy the journey I played when I was 9 till my dad threw my guitar away. Now at 75 taking care of my wife who got a bad covid shot. So starting again. Fingers still work and still remember some of the jimmy reed songs that made my dad so mad. Have fun life is short!!

Thank you Andy. I have been Elvis fan since I was 3 years old and now I am 59 years old. I am just New beginner to play guitar, but I think I have a chance to play these Elvis songs.
You still 3 year old with that spelling. You're still a beginner at spelling too. You also have no chance to play these songs if you're now 59 and still speak like you're 3

If you listen to the early recordings especially the few live ones you can hear Elvis’s brilliant rhythm guitar and he plays it bass heavy with bass runs.

Basic blues chords + country strumming and some picking + hard hitting rhythm section = 95% of all early rock. Keep it simple and make a revolution!

Hi Andy, Happy NY 2024 I just came across these lessons of 10 Elvis Songs with simple chords in 12 Bar blues format, how did you know that I was building an Acoustic Guitar Camp Fire songs for the Retirement Village I live in in Australia. Chance made in heaven and I love the Elvis songs because we have a resident here who has a vast collection of everything about Elvis and she travelled to USA to watch all his shows..So now I want to learn these songs and get the Lyrics.
