As far as I remember, there is no sample on this song. The song got stuck in head for quite sometime back in the day. It was huge in Europe but that eargasmatic eurodance vibe of the song did not do well in the US Billboard hot 100 charts as I think I did not even reach the top 40
Dunno about Billboard performance, but I distinctly remember seeing this on MTV/VH1 -- the "Old School Shuffle"-- EVERY morning for some time in high school.
Alexis Castro-Robles True artists are never recognized in their own time. Everybody back in Shakespeare's day thought he was missing a lot of screws but we think he is Jesus
It uses lots of electronic music, there are streets so there are also cars, a TV store, restaurants, cameras filmed the video, "you sunk my battleship" "please turn me on Mr Coffee" "both watch X-Files" "Discovery Channel"... I'd say we've been plenty modern for a while now.
For all the hundreds and thousands of songs written about heartache, yearning, loss and desire this is refreshing song as there are so few written about honest, consensual, fun, exhausted but laughing your arse off sex. Funky as all hell tune too!
At my 7th grade dance, someone requested this song and the DJ actually played it. Never finished playing once the teachers and staff started listening to the words halfway through. It was hilarious watching their reaction.
There are several reasons why this video wouldn't be made today. Imagine if it was made today, Me Too and several others would be stomping on these guy's necks. Either you loved the content that was being put out or you didn't. If you didn't, you know what you did? You changed the channel. Personally I still love this song and video. The best thing of not being an English native speaker but speaking and understandin the language is when you see people singing songs like this (sometimes making up the lyrics) and not having a clue of what they say. When you eventually explain and translate the lyrics and see the reaction it's really funny.
okay, the people you're laughing about might not have a clue about what they're singing, so it's funny. I also think that it is funny point out mistakes for overconfident people:
KICKASS SONG AND AWESOME VIDEO!!
The best thing ABOUT not being a native ENGLISH speaker but STILL speaking and understandinD the language is when you see people singing songs like this ONE (sometimes making up the lyrics) and not having a clue of what they'RE sayING. IT'S REALLY FUNNY TO SEE THEIR REACTION WHEN YOU EVENTUALLY EXPLAIN AND TRANSLATE THE LYRICS
Gustavo Oliveira Are you "overconfident" then? :'D
Toby Southall far from that. my english is not that good (it's my 4th language) and I'm fully aware of that. just don't like the fact that he feels more pleasure from people's lack of knowledge than his merits.
