    If you're a UI Designer you 100% should get more comfortable with front-end languages and frameworks. Its not to say you should become a developer, but even just knowing the basics of HTML, CSS, JS and front-end libraries has helped me so much in making better designs and working more effectively with devs.

    Great vid! The future of design work is definitely positioning ourselves to contribute directly to the code base.

    So basically webflow and framer but you can export the code and are not stuck to their platform

    • @Mizko
      @Mizko  Před 3 měsíci +14

      Webflow and Framer are website builders.
      Codux is not a website builder. It's a no-code tool, that designers can use to make changes to 'real code'.
      Developers will push their code to a Github repo, then designers can pull the code down with Codux and make changes to the 'live code' with their no-code interface.
      The responsibilities are getting blurrier!
      In a few years time... designers are going to become part engineers.

    Sounds nice, I have many questions... can you import components from a design system? De you have to change manually all the numbers?

    I am working on a mobile app and I use Adobe XD for design. Is this compatible with Codux?

  • @karollitwinczuk9325
    @karollitwinczuk9325 Před měsícem

    Is Codux is Designer side only aplication? Or Developer need also to use it and write in it, so the project in whole would be in it?

  • @rodnem
    @rodnem Před 3 měsíci +1

    Ok but you started with some component sections in your project. How were they imported ?

    • @Mizko
      @Mizko  Před 3 měsíci

      Go to 01:55 of the video - this is a demo project.
      If you are part of a team you can connect Codux with the team's Github repo to pull down their components.

    what is the difference between framar and codux?

    • @Mizko
      @Mizko  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Everything 😂 Framer is a no code website builder, Codux allows you to build and manage code with a no code interface for existing web apps and sites

    My developers don't even ask for feedback. I have to explain every pixel and write dozens of styling tickets with arrows pointing to the places that weren't implemented precisely. And why do you put up with that? Because developers are more valuable than designers and therefore they have freedom. That's the reality.

    I think it is a flawed model to base a product on a rare edgecase to where the developer ignores massive parts of the design delivered by the designteam. In big firms that would not fly and the dev would need stick to the designs, and in small companies, the designs are often taken care of by the developer because that is in their skillset. The latter is my experience where i was such a dev/designer. Its a cool idea, but i think it has major flaws in terms of it being needed. I do however 100% agree with you that a designer on its own will be less in demand in the future and will need to know development to survive in this business. But i would not bet on this tool to become that swiss knife.
