My favorite hack has been using easter eggs to store my (dry) blending sponges, they fit in my makeup kit really nicely & don't get any dirtier than necessary. I'm also a mad scientist when it comes to foundation, I like to mix several based on the color or coverage that I need & half of an easter egg works really well for that too.
Love your nails! Would love to see you do a video on hooded eyes or how you do your eye makeup differently with two different eye shapes. I have both issues.
Nurse Love I would absolutely love this as well. I've never heard anyone even mention this before. I really have a problem getting my eye makeup even because my eyes are so different! I am soooo glad to know I'm not the only one!!
Tati recently mixed together the new Urban Decay velvet powder and her foundation with GREAT RESULTS!! I was wondering if you could try it out with a drugstore powder and foundation to see if it's the same effect :O
Jacklin Carter I have that velvateen and there is not another powder like it. it is so so so soft and finely milled you could maybe use another powder but you would have to mix it so well so there aren't any clumps. that stuff is amazing
Laura Gliebe Yes and that is actually what that powder was meant for. I am very curious as well though. If there was a finely milled powder that is a dupe.
Jacklin Carter I tried it with the Flower beauty powder the other day and it seemed to work really well. I don't know if it is exactly the same as the velvitizer from UD, but I liked the results.
Instead of cello tape I have been using medical tape. It is meant for skin so I don't have to worry about having adhesive not meant for my skin on my skin.
When you've been watching Rachel long enough to know all the hacks already and still watch every single second of that video 😄 just because you love her so much ❤️
Allison Schmitt I saw that recently and thought it must work since heat is used to curl our hair but didn't know if it was that much of a difference. I only recently started curling my eyelashes and they curl really well.
Can you do an only applicators challenge? So basically you can only apply products with the applicators that come with the product! (Aka the little sponge things that come with eyeshadow, cushions in the cushion foundation etc.)
As for tips I use: sometimes I'm applying my natural balm on dry patches and under eye area for skin to become more softer (helps a lot actually). And as for oils... I use almond oil for my dried up products. Just the smallest amount but helps a lot. Also use aloe Vera gel (that I usually have in the fridge) as a 10 mins patches under eye 😅 those are my "hacks" but I loved to hear yours. Gonna buy some face oil to use as you suggested (especially because I do have normal/combo skin depending on the season, and it's super dry in winter time and these hacks may save my makeup game)
I can't wait to try your hack of gently patting oil under your eyes to help avoid creasing and cracking of under-eye concealer! Love these so much I will now be watching ALL of your vlogs now that we share similar skin/makeup issues! Yay!
Am I the only one who actually shakes their head whenever Rachel starts talking about a makeup hack/tip? Hahah it's like my brain is taking mental notes! 😂😂 love you girl!
i use a brand new pumice stone to clean the powers off my brush or wet the cream filled brush and rub. i only use it for cream products if i am in an absolute pinch
I was on Pinterest the other day and seen this where you put brown eyeliner on your eyelid and still put on eyeshadow to perform a soft cut crease and I'd like to see you to try it out!!
Rach! Please do a tutorial on this makeup look! So gorgeous! Also, I'd love a tutorial on how you apply your tanner and what your favorite product is. It looks stunning in this video! Lastly - what is that nail polish color?! LOVEEEE it! ❤️❤️❤️
Chris Air Yes, and Kiko also has a Mixing Solution that's pretty affordable and multi purpose! I use it for gel liner, wet application of eyeshadow, and even to revive a mascara. I don't use it for regular black mascara but I have a dark plum color from Chanel that I don't want to throw out but I don't use it regularly...
This was sooooo helpful! Thank you so much. One hack that I like to do when I travel or I'm out and don't want to carry a lot of products around is to find a really nice neutral blush for my skin tone that I can use as a blush, and add more to get a bit of a contour and I can use it for eyeshadow! You have to find one that really works for you but I was able to and I love how it all works together!
Please don't do that anymore. You're risking an eye infection because the warm water will allow the bacteria in your mascara tube to proliferate quicker. As Rachel mentioned, buying a new one is the best way to go especially when there are so many great affordable options.
Rachel I would love to see a video on what self tanner(s) you use and how you find works best for applying them. I can never seem to dive into buying self tanner out of fear of looking like a striped ompa lompa. Lol. Thank you!!
The eyedrops in mascara really does work. I accidently forgot to properly close my favourite mascara and it was brand new so I just added a drop and it worked perfectly
I use micropore paper tape (normally for dressings) for my liner - the adhesive is less 'sticky' so it doesn't pull on the skin or need to be pressed on your hand first.
One hack I use (because I don't have a peachy orange corrector) is to set my undereyes with an orange-ish, slightly peachy compact powder, and my dark circles look a lot less severe. This works even on top of just moisturizer, so If you dont have time then it's a great trick to use over a bb cream.
I have never been this early to a Rachhloves video. I'm number 238 and I love you so much! Also, I saw that Tuesday's video was trending for two days now. So awesome! How it is that you don't have at least 4 million subscribers is a mystery to me. Thank you for always being consistent and giving your loving subscribers such great content!
My hack is something I read from a Wetnwild user for the bronzer. She had purchased one that was too light and instead of returning it, she recommended using it as an all over powder. I had the same issue and so I tried it and it works beautifully. It has a bit of a shine, as if I put a highlighter on.
See for my oily eyelids, the Milani eyeshadow primer is a life saver. I tried the shape tape & even when setting it with powder it prevents my eyeshadow from blending well & it creases like a mother. And I disagree about the concealer being lightweight. It's thick, full coverage & heavy. My under eyes always look cakey even if I use the tiniest bit but it's so full coverage for my super dark under eyes. And that concealer creases on me just like any other if I don't set it. Just some information for those who are looking to purchase it 👏🏻
Rachel, can you please do a video "Drugstore Foundation Collection: Best and Worst"?
Chris Air yes please !!
My favorite hack has been using easter eggs to store my (dry) blending sponges, they fit in my makeup kit really nicely & don't get any dirtier than necessary. Rosaline115 now we know which holiday is your favorite😂👍🐣
Genius!
Rosaline115 this is an AMAZING tip! Thank you so much for sharing!!
Nurse Love tori sterling has a hooded eyes series! Check it out!
That's a brilliant idea for a video...and I hope you dont mind me "stealing" it. I have hooded eyes and a smaller eye. MUCH smaller.
Ben J. Pierce also made a video about makeup for hooded eyes!
Who else likes before even watching?😂😂 Love you Rachel!!💘💘
Tati recently mixed together the new Urban Decay velvet powder and her foundation with GREAT RESULTS!! I was wondering if you could try it out with a drugstore powder and foundation to see if it's the same effect :O
I would be really interested too
Jacklin Carter I have that velvateen and there is not another powder like it. it is so so so soft and finely milled you could maybe use another powder but you would have to mix it so well so there aren't any clumps. that stuff is amazing
Laura Gliebe Yes and that is actually what that powder was meant for. I am very curious as well though. If there was a finely milled powder that is a dupe.
I am using the rimmel match perfection loose powder and honestly it works very well for me and it was p cheap
Rachel Frumkin I do this as well, much more gentle on the skin.
paper medical tape works great! It will still give that precise line but doesn't hurt when taking off since it's not made to be super sticky
Rachel Frumkin also you can try washi tape. It's not so sticky. And it doesn't pull.
I use post-it notes.
Leslie O'Connor yes post it notes are the way forward.
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHH for doing the No Swatch challenge!! I saw another idea for a full face NO BLENDING!! Would you do a video like that??
Rachel! Why don't you try 'My Husband does my Voiceover'? 👏👏
or my husband buys my makeup
Alyssa Brown-Carleton why not both? 🤷🏻♀️ husband buys makeup then applies it
Or "I do my husband's makeup" hahaha
She usually keeps her personal life very off camera.
Can you please do a tutorial on you make up in this video?
Hi Rach! You should do a "What's in my makeup bag/ what makeup do I use daily" video!
When you've been watching Rachel long enough to know all the hacks already and still watch every single second of that video 😄 just because you love her so much ❤️
I GET SO EXITED WHEN YOU POST OMG
I use my hair dryer to heat up my eyelash curler to a warm temp that my skin can handle to curl my eyelashes. It makes a big difference!
Allison Schmitt I saw that recently and thought it must work since heat is used to curl our hair but didn't know if it was that much of a difference. I only recently started curling my eyelashes and they curl really well.
michele Dickey yeah I find that it works pretty well! Just not too hot so I don't burn my eyelashes off 😂
Allison Schmitt I do this too, makes,my curl stay all day.
Allison Schmitt omg! I have been doing that since I was a teen.
Allison Schmitt It is not a good Idea to do that. I have done that before and I got a second degree burn on my eyelid....
I'm obsessed with your nail polish colour!
MrsPokits TheRiot it's Glitter Daze Candy Mars
I love you so much❤ your personality is so bubbly and cheery😊 been binge-watching all your videos all day on both channels 💙xx
Can you do an only applicators challenge? So basically you can only apply products with the applicators that come with the product! (Aka the little sponge things that come with eyeshadow, cushions in the cushion foundation etc.)
Your makeup is looking FLAWLESS in this video! I love it😍

I cannot get over how flawless you look in this video! 😍😍😍
The only one I use pretty regularly is the tape trick for wings. i guess I need to expand my hack repertoire.

I use face oil daily but never thought of lightly brushing it on post makeup so I'm stoked to try that on my very dry skin!
Oh Rach, it takes a lot of REALLY Bad products to make your Make-up look weird, your such a beauty❤❤
I was on Pinterest the other day and seen this where you put brown eyeliner on your eyelid and still put on eyeshadow to perform a soft cut crease and I'd like to see you to try it out!!

Can u make a tutorial of your eye make up look in this video - looks really nice
Inglot Duralin is amazing, it is good to mix it with cream/gel products too!

This posted at the perfect time! It just started storming where I live so it's nice to have a Rachel video to brighten my day!
You can also mix a little eyeshadow primer with your conealer and set with silica powder. Blends beautifully! and I always enjoy watching your videos!
setting the eye lid primer hack is super helpful. I'll try that next time
LOLOL "damn blending sponge" 11:22 😂😂
Your makeup is FLAWLESS today. I love it! 😍💄
for mascara just put it in warm water, it melt to return brand new I use it if i left my mascara open
Please don't do that anymore. You're risking an eye infection because the warm water will allow the bacteria in your mascara tube to proliferate quicker. As Rachel mentioned, buying a new one is the best way to go especially when there are so many great affordable options.
pangi08 ohh thank you i never thought of that

Rachel I would love to see a video on what self tanner(s) you use and how you find works best for applying them. I can never seem to dive into buying self tanner out of fear of looking like a striped ompa lompa. Lol. Thank you!!
What lip color do you have on? It's gorgeous

10:07 "goof proof" 😂 I love it
The eyedrops in mascara really does work. I accidently forgot to properly close my favourite mascara and it was brand new so I just added a drop and it worked perfectly
Karla Bredenhand She said this was for old makeup that is obviously just done. I wouldn't think it was for if you just left it open.
The tape trick always works. Love your videos!! 💜💜
please list the nailpolishes you wear in your videos :D
pegger1982 it's Glitter Daze Candy Mars
You look soo beautiful in this video!!
Rachel , can you please do a best drugstore concealers? I have trouble finding one with good coverage .
I use micropore paper tape (normally for dressings) for my liner - the adhesive is less 'sticky' so it doesn't pull on the skin or need to be pressed on your hand first.
I put Vaseline under my eyes at night and it's made them so smooth, doesn't fill in any creases or lines. But I used to get scaly skin there, no more!
One hack I use (because I don't have a peachy orange corrector) is to set my undereyes with an orange-ish, slightly peachy compact powder, and my dark circles look a lot less severe. This works even on top of just moisturizer, so If you dont have time then it's a great trick to use over a bb cream.

I do the mascara liner thing all the time
My hack is something I read from a Wetnwild user for the bronzer. She had purchased one that was too light and instead of returning it, she recommended using it as an all over powder. I had the same issue and so I tried it and it works beautifully. It has a bit of a shine, as if I put a highlighter on.
I can definitely relate to the notebook thing.
I can totally see you as that mom who embarrasses their kids in front of their friends by doing/say something stupid x3 nothing but love Rachel 💞
