  • If you like pork rinds, and love pork belly burnt ends - you have to give this one a try. All the flavor and rendered fat you love from the burnt ends packed with the crunch of fresh pork rinds. I was inspired to make this dish by my Christmas Eve (Noche Buena) pork shoulder (Lechon) I made for 2022 - a Cuban tradition for Noche Buena. When I ate some of the delicious crunchy skin, I thought that it would be great with pork belly burnt ends.

    Perfect! I have a pan of cinnamon roll pork belly minis with skin on and I have never BBQ PB with the skin on. This was just what I needed. Wish me luck!

    the yellow dye is annato. You can also get Sazon tropical without this added. This looks fantastic!

    There may be turmeric in that seasoning and that would explain the yellow stains on your skin

    I'm gonna have to try this out once the 2 feet of snow around my smoker has vanished. I wonder if reducing the time under the broiler would be a solution for the kids having a tough time. I know my kids are gonna want to try them, but they're even younger than yours.

      @@1526BBQ As it is cooking under the broiler, shield the puffed up edges with tin foil until all is crisp. Just like you would with a pie crust.
