Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
Definitely 10/10 👏👏👏
10 for sure

This scene was mandatory to establish Ethan's morale compass - he doesn't kill for the cause, he kills to save other people.
That was the biggest kill count in the whole movie in one scene.
No inocent dies with Ethan Hunt
Damn, you said it well. I know they keep drilling in this point if you follow the dialogue and plot but you worded it in a way that clicked something for me.
Most importantly, Ethan KILLS. He has guts to take lives of those who are a threat to innocents. Batman on the other hand is responsible for so many deaths just because he can't kill 1 person.
Everyone was impressed and shocked when he shot 4 guys in a matter of seconds.... probably one of the coolest scenes in the entire franchise
Skilled army can do head shoot and they can kill 3 person in only 1 second
I remember a novelty of the first film being that he never fired a gun.
@@avakinimon and others can write....
In actuality, it took 3 takes and about 7 hours. Movies is magic.
it was a collateral movie skill
I love how Henry Cavill's character just sort of nods after Ethan shoots those guys like... "yeah... okay, I respect that." (The shooting skill, not Ethan's reluctance to shoot the cop.)
i feel like he's mocking: "soft guy, as i thought"
@@roiagam2040 I agree. It looked as if he was thinking 'so Ethan cares about innocent people! This is a weakness I can exploit'.
@weichenliao1280 It's interesting that that's why he lost against Ethan in the end. He saw a "weak" person who didnt want an innocent to die. What he SHOULD have been paying attention to is the fact that Ethan made a way out of an almost impossible situation by icing 4 fucking guys in a matter of seconds
@@The_Devil_Breaker_ Exactly! That combined with the fact that it takes way more skill and a much bigger bag of tricks to avoid killing people on a mission than it does to be a battering ram. I've never been wild about how the movies disgraced the character of Jim Phelps for Ethan Hunt, but one thing movies at least verbally lean in on was that the mission of the IMF (most of the time the world isn't in crisis during the films) is to make the bad guys put themselves in the traps: 'masks and Halloween'. They're not supposed to be the shoot-em-up problem solvers, and it actually takes LOADS of skills to do things that way, including knowing _exactly_ how to be lethal on every level in order to make sure that you can hold back. Ethan doesn't kill because it's usually better for the mission and because it lets him sleep better at night, not because he can't or because he's not great at it. He is.
I feel like it was kind of a “wow he really did that, he truly is morally righteous”
Everyone fell in love with the character after that policewoman scene
Agreed
No.
no
But i'm male. I'm not gay.
Such a great franchise. The best anti green screen movies ever.
except for the skydiving crash... and the motorcycle vs bike crash. but yeah, i get what youre saying
laugh in transformers franchise
@@levimartin1033 what do you mean, the skydiving scene was filmed for real
@@jace8785 yep Tom cruise did training for many days to shoot that halo jump scene
@@ProfAnshuman he didn’t ACTUALLY land atop that building, that was special effects, but the actual dive was real.
Pretty cool and random scene with the cop. Personally, I like how it shows that even with the best plan(s) something could still go wrong.
a lot of people miss what this scene is about. this is part of his redemption arc for failing to save the record store girl in the previous film
There's a nightmare sequence earlier that makes Ethan question how far he would go to succeed. It shows him killing an innocent person in order to complete the mission (the "Fallout" of saving the world). This scene is to show that he has not fallen that far. He is still a good person despite the bad things he has done.
They both did some brilliant acting right there, and the way she starts to understand he is concerned about her safety makes it perfect.
WE want that police woman in future movies
@Fenyr Justice a porn parody ?
Meh
She should learn how to properly hold a gun first if she wants to be taken serious.
You can bet she’d change her career choice after surviving that. Most of us would after glimpsing that very dark dangerous side of that world.
The crush in her eyes, not sure is from the policewoman or the actress.
The scene where he instantly shoots those guys though, Reminds me of "collateral 2004" TOM was a beast in this one make a point of watching it, it wont dissapoint 🔥🔥
TRUE THIS SCENE WITH THE BRIEFCASE WAS SO SIMILAR 😂😍💙
Collateral is a masterpiece. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx were so amazing
Hey Homey, is that my briefcase?
Yeahhh same
@sodiumreactor Ha! I had to read that comment twice because my contact lens shifted. I thought it said “Hey Horney, …” 😲
Tom Cruise suddenly became Vincent again.
Lol.
Yo homie, that my briefcase?
She was like "I don't care if I'm dying, take me right here right now.." 🤣
I'm French, and I'd like to point out that Tom Cruise speaks a very decent French in this scene. He has an American accent, of course, but not a thick one, just a cute one, you can perfectly understand everything he says.
At 1:40 What did she say on the radio? Can you please help? Like what exactly?
@@musachaudhary6687 She said "I got shot, Passy Subway. I'm hurt."
@@kccg24 Thank you!!
@@musachaudhary6687 She says "je suis blessée par balle" and it means "I have a gunshot wound". Shortly after, when asked where she is,she says "Métro Passy, je suis blessée", which means "Passy subway station. I'm wounded".
@@hamikkhan-jl1nt No. Mostly because fries aren't French, they're actually from Belgium
The “longing” in her look 🥺😂
Respect to Ethan for protecting that cop. He's a good guy down to his core.
it is a movie--fake
its a movie--it is called acting--ethan actually got drunk and beat his girlfriend up the next day,had sex with a 18 yo girl
Henry Caill's nod is more than respect for Ethan's shooting skills, it's an acknowledgment of his moral compass and an observation of it as a point of exploitation.
He should have told the cop, "It's a surprise bachelor's party."
A very good idea, but she would have ended up facing the other four men by herself and she wouldn't have survived.
@@beauxr.benoit1374 that is if she bought it
@@MACaroniUSA True.
It's scenes like this that typify the "show don't tell" method of illustrating the character's inner world.
Title plz
I give it 10 out of 10 more if I could ,every film mr cruise does is amazing ,he’s a great stuntman ,actor and a great person
ehhhh great person not so much lmao
That female cop in the beginning (played by Alix Bénézech) is beautiful.
This man never gets old lol
You gotta love Ilsa on that motorcycle! Ref: MI - Rogue Nation
Every time Tom shoots his Gun in this scene, all i see is Vincent from Collateral
This is the part where the policewoman forgets she was shot because she was starring Tom Cruise. 😁
Usually the most dangerous part of tourism in Paris are the rude waiters.
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
😄😄
I figured it was all those "people" from a certain area of the world that finds it acceptable to invade a posh theater and castrate all the males and putting their genitals in their mouth.....
No? Just waiters? No wonder Europe is in the shape it is. It's full of goldfish.
“Stoopeed amaricann…”
When you are an international spy, assessin and all around bad-ass, it doesn't hurt to have a kind side.
but he is always kind, it's just didn't show in the early Mission movie, Ethan Hunt is a human version of what Superman is, the unshakeable moral compass, and I think I rarely heard Ethan is swearing too, just like Caps said "language", fighting for justice and freedom in an American way
Tom Cruise is a genius thanks to him there are still movies in this world
Best thing about this movie is the sound design. Every time a gun is fired, you *feel* it, and driving the point home is the whooshing of air between the pillars as that motorcycle is driving down that hallway.
1:30 Henry Cavill is like - hmmm, yes... badass
Probably not, Lark might have been thinking how Hunt chose to save her and that Lark would have just shot her
Nah he was like damn he just killed my man
@@jademuchacho2651 yeah Lark must be seething to kill him. Afterall that was his job.
I think it was a moment of recognition. His face is just acknowledging that Hunt is this type of person- someone who would go out of their way to save someone.
She loves Tom Cruise now! He saved her!
yep that look on her face after he saved her, like I want you to make me a baby
She will appear in the next movie and save him 😂😂😂😂😂
Nah
it is a movie and she did a fantatic part
No shit !
Je trouve que Tom Cruise ce débrouille pas mal en parlant en français c'est super il à du mérite franchement 👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tom cruises hair always looks good. Every single scene. Even in the ones where he’s getting beat up. It’s amazing really.

I loved the references to Ronin in the Paris chase
Tom hit em with hip fire, compact firearm with double action. Best scene. 💯
I’m curious why you thought that was a double action only pistol?

That was fast, very fast. As fast as a gun-slinging cowboy. I always imagined John Wick as one of the best shooters in today's movies but Ethan Hunt is up to the standard. The only thing is this character simply does not kill a lot of people if not necessary.
Gotta love how fast police catch up but never catch
Because family
I think Liam Neeson is the most dangerous tourist in Paris
Some scenes reminded me Steve McQueen's The Great Escape (Motorcycle scene).
Get you a partner that looks at you the way that policewoman looked at Cruise
If you looked like him then probably you'd get many
Women loved to be surprised; actually we all do. This is what women are actually attracted to long term in a man. The looks of a man matter little to them since they have so many men to choose from. If you want to attract, have sex & keep a beautiful woman always continue to surprise her. Even the smallest thing will do. They want something unusual. Remember they get plenty of free flowers, drinks, diners, vacations etc. Just find something different to do for them - anything.
This is why the beautiful policewomen instantly fell in love with Ethan.
Women also don't know this about themselves. Ask them. Watch CZcams videos. They can't actually articulate what makes them "fall for" a man. I am telling you straight - do something different occasionally to surprise them. They will follow a man like this into a burning building to be with him.
@@jonlesher5116What in the actual fuck?

Wow what a movie Tom cruise i really love and like his movie most especially mission impossible 1-3.
never seen mission impossible films but all these great actors i think i may have to watch them
He made a choice, not sacrifice the few to save the many. Respect to Ethan Hunt o7
Escenas épicas!!! Geniales!!! Oscar a la mejor escena de acción
Ouahhhhh vivement cet été.... Juillet 2023.... Tom.... On🙃 sera là 😱🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰. Trop hâte.
Love all these "impossibles" et Tom Cruise 👍
They made it look like she might had just "walked away" like Tom asked, but we all know she was planning on taking them all on.
Exellent film from start to finish, with some nice plot twists 👍👍👍
The policewoman was great. She was so afraid and I felt it.
It was really a tense and scary scene.
Most of the movie I just want to be impressed by how cool a scene was.
I love this scene because an E28 is involved, a cute french cop is involved, who is enamoured by Tom Cruise even after being shot
10 out of 10 😊👍
0:11 he should get oscar for that look
LMAO. Pegg crammed in that tiny little back seat between Duncan and Cavill is hilarious.
Excellent!! Now I'm going to enjoy the full movie again...
PERIPHERAL VISION … how did he not see them? 🤣🤣🤣
Because in a stressful situation you really can miss obvious things, they were focused on each other
Every time I will cry while watching this scene. More emotional 😂😂😂😂
gay maybe?
she didnt say it, but everyone understands her: "be my child's father"
This was such a badass movie. This was the first Mission Impossible movie I've ever sat down and watched, need to check out the other ones now.
You’re in for a treat
MI1
MI3
AND GOOOOO
There is no MI2. Thats the only true.
I want a Bond-Hunt-Bourne crossover 🥺 just one. Don't make another stupid universe..🙏
Nothing like a good, old-fashioned car chase scene in a European city where standstill traffic is the norm.
Yeah, this would NOT go well in the actual Paris traffic.
The chase scene in The Bourne Identity filmed in Paris. Damon driving a beat up Mini was epic as well.
Too bad they went with those awful CGI'd mk2 on the front, mk3 on the back Mégane police cars, can't get to grips with how could anyone sign off on that 3d. 🤔
This is best sence in this entire movie I just love this sence 😮😮😍😍👏👏 Tom cruise ❤❤❤
One of the best scenes in this movie. 👍
You know, whenever I want to write Tommy Cruize off as a hack actor, I get a scene like this *rammed* down my throat, and *JEEZ, this guy is good.* I mean, is there anybody who'd watch that and not believe that Cruize *was* totally totally I-M??? Had me jumpin'.
Word. Dude be makin great movies time and again. I can almost always count on a TC movie being good to great.
What is "Cruize"?
Tom's a little kooky , but makes some of the best kick ass movies out there.
@@secondsun7727 Totally, all his movies are great too. I always liked Collateral the best. It's a masterpiece.
His tropic thunder role was amazing too lol
She thought Tom will kiss her 😂😂😂😂
I think it's just her natural face. Nobody's gonna be thinking about kissing when they have a bleeding hole in their stomach.
@@spook407 MISS KISSY FACE
Remember me our famous French comics Lucky Luke: the man who shoots faster than is shadow. Both are so cool.
This was my fav scene about this movie
Author Vince Flynn had agent Mitch Rapp save a French policeman after he was inadvertently shot. I believe that's where Cruise's writers got the idea from.
Top Respect 💪🔥
Stunning bike rider action superstar one and only Tom cruise.yeah baby.
I love how he drives the wheels off a bmw. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Love this scene, but the thing that bugs me is Ethan's surprise at her being shot. The camera is on her when she gets hit then immediately cuts to Ethan's surprised reaction. Then we see over his right shoulder the four armed guys. But here's the thing... they clearly would have been in his field of view given their proximity to him. The street's empty, so an agent of Ethan's caliber would notice them and be suspicious of their approach. Basically, the off-camera shot was meant to surprise us, the audience.
What you say makes sense. But perhaps he was just too focused on her because she was pointing a gun at them.
@adil4069 yea this makes more sense. The whole scene was him almost nervously trying to calm the cop down as there was practically no way to get out of that situation, so he was too focused to see the other men.
it is a movie-all fake
The choice is so small but very impactful in the movie as it builds the Ethan Hunt as protagonist in the series and help hum becoming more of a 3 dimensional in the MI genre. Which is plagued by unlimited secret agents somewhat psychopaths in their respected movies that are to bland to be emotionally connecting as a human being to the audience.
Well. Time to rematch this masterpiece.
At 1:12 the main villain has the gun pointed at Tom while the other guy goes to finish the cop. No way Tom would draw gun that fast to kill them all. Though nice scene, unbelievable action.
Because Tom is the alpha and white knight in shining armour the cornerstone of chivalry. If it was his life in danger Tom would've surrendered to the four men but with a fertile woman at stake not even God dare to challenge Tom Cruise
Terrific casting for the woman officer! Am I right?
Looks like another great MI movie with the whole bag of Tom Cruise stunts & scenes; riding the BMW RNineT motorbike through Paris...epic 😁👍
01:16 Billi the kid action scene was awesome
1:25 the fourth guy fired but Tom Cruise must be made of steel.
All Tom does is make blockbuster movies.

I'm convinced Tom Cruise is actually the one UniSol from the program that was successful.

Wow Action pure 🤣😅😂
Ethan turned into Vincent really quick from the movie collateral
we know that as the protagonist, he is a very caring to ppl and have a high moral compass, but it is not shown in the early Mission movie before a scene like this, it looks like the writer and director want to emphasize that side of Ethan.
