      The reality of our world is that people prefer videos that can entertain us instead of those videos that are more essential to us

    So you don’t blow into their mouths anymore, just chest compressions?

    • @redezekieloctavio2852
      @redezekieloctavio2852 Před rokem +1

      Tad bit late but,its optional or depends on circumstance.Not a proffesional on this BUT based on MY research,chest compressions alone is used in cardiac circumstances.Mouth to mouth is only used when it's related to airways.
      Well,CPR IS both used for cardiac and respiratory emergencies.And doing mouth to mouth in emergencies related to cardiac messes it up,its just stopping something necessary for something useless.

      Compression only is a safe alternative in a post-COVID world. It is effective because it circulates oxygenated blood that is still in the person’s system. If it has been a few minutes, I would add a few breaths to encourage that oxygen conversion.

    2:09 Would a real chest collapse like that? wouldn't that break some ribs?

    • @MaiNorii
      @MaiNorii Před 2 měsíci +3

      Yes. But consider the person is already dead. What you're trying to accomplish with CPR is to resuscitate the patient. A broken rib can be fixed if the person survives.

    TUESDAY APRIL 4th, 2023
    I remember cpr training. When I was a Senior in high school(April or May 2018), my Psychology teacher Mr. Bradshaw told me that I was on the list for graduation but I didn't do the cpr training requirement for graduation. So I chose to "SKIP IT" so I can graduate with the rest of my class.

    • @huffypuff6707
      @huffypuff6707 Před 11 měsíci +1

      It's safe so as long as you have some sort of barrier between your mouths. That way saliva is not exchanged and you never actually touch the individual. There are special barriers for CPR or you can make a makeshift one.
