    You can put the swag up on a stretcher bed and can attatch it to a gazebo with walls for a living or cooking space or a tent (during hot weather) to have another space to hamg out in( sometimes the swag can be a bit hot in summer) . You need to do this yourself or find someone who can do it if you not confident. I love a swag its so versatile and its a quick and eady set up and you can then enjoy your time without stressing about setting up .

    I bought the same swag a couple of months ago fantastic piece of kit. My only criticism is the friction lock on the ridge pole went a bit slack after a couple of uses. So you might want to guy the ends out or it will fold up on you in the middle of the night.

    I have had the 5.11 72 rush a long time 5+ years, great bag for short journeys on foot, I'm 6'1" and on long hikes this bag cuts circulation in the shoulders as it sits too high on my long back due to the small shoulder rounded strap style of this bag.

    I watched this video last year ... which in itself is odd really ... thing is I don't even drive .... I'm one of those bloody cyclists .... as you pointed out it's good to look beyond your own horizons and see how others get results .... having mulled it over I've decided on a change of direction ... all cyclists tend to go as light and fast as possible .... but I have decided to stash my sub 1kg tent .... and ordered an ARB Skydome series 2 at 10.5kg and a bicycle trailer to fit my self built e-bike ... I'm also planning to start a youtube channel based around long distance UK touring with this setup .... I'm hoping one day someone like Ecoflow or whatever might even solve the long distance charging problem for me with a solar generator for the trailer to give me unlimited range at least in the summer .... nightmare eh? .... bloody overlander cyclists now .... peace me breadbin ... thank you for the inspiration .... Stoaty :o)~

    It's fair to say Rich's swag is high end beaut gear, top level. Most of our swags just have poles at either end and you tie off to a tree or your wagon. Aussie price for a starter swag is about 150 bucks AUD from Kings for example, about 90 pounds I would say. We always use a tarp and ground mate in winter Rich lad, sensible practice for a good kip. I would also recommend a blanket or quilt with a good pillow or two over sleeping bags and jumpers for your head rest. You have the swag in the car or truck any how so why not sleep well hey?. These personal style videos are your best mate, like having a chat. Lastly, I have the exact same Contigo Byron as you, 28 bucks from Harris Scarf lol. They are magic alright. Cheers mucker.

      @Bugoutvehiclesuk  Před 3 lety

      I wish we got camping gear for the price you get. No such thing as a cheap swag this end and the ones that are are like a canvas sleeping bag. Deffo like multiple covers in bed but just had the swag brought in so I didn’t have to carry much on foot. This swag is pure luxury. Well comfortable and self contained if you can’t peg out. Had it set up on the drive at home.

    Morning Rich
    lots of expensive toys there.
    I notice you're wearing the Suunto Core watch. Be very careful as time goes on with the pins that hold the strap on. Over time the rubber strap loses it's rigidity becoming more supple as time goes on to the point that it will pop off the retaining pins as there is nothing holding pins in place at their ends.
    This happened to me, I was lucky in that the watch got caught in te elasticated cuff of my parka, otherwise it would have dropped of and I'd have been none the wiser.
    I still have the Suunto, it's been through some tough stuff, but I bought a stop gap Casio solar powered version and clipped a Suunto Clipper compass to the strap for a fraction of the cost and no need for batteries etc.
    Cheers
    Ian
