The modest provincial town of Oswiecim is better known by its German name “Auschwitz”, and was witness to an enormous evil caused by humankind. Around 1.5 million people perished in the largest German extermination camp of the Second World War. A gruesome exposition in the former camp makes the visitors rethink their basic human values, such as humanity and dignity.
So different. I did it today. Just 4 frequencies in the whole Day, train was older and very few People in there. Came by Bus in the return and it was better. May 2023

7:26 And from this train station, how did you go to for example "Auschwitz II Historical Gate"? It is like 1.6km and from what i see it´s difficult to do it walking...no sidewalk

Oggi ho provato a fare il percorso come da video e scesa alla fermata di Trzebinia non c'era nessun autobus. Ho perso la mia visita al museo e ho dovuto aspettare più di un'ora il treno per tornare a Cracovia. Non credo che questo percorso vada ancora bene, bisognerebbe aggiornarlo
Mi dispiace. Forse qualcosa è cambiato. Ho controllato i percorsi. Ora ci sono percorsi diretti. Percorsi modificati di recente. Ma c'è anche con trasferimento. È probabile che le informazioni cambino frequentemente.

The train does not go to Auschwitz. You need to change to a bus at Trzebinia station. Yes, it is about 2 kilometers to the camp.

Why did you have to get off at a train station and get a bus please? Is the bus extra?
There are buses - l believe local bus lines that you can take from the train station to the Auschwitz Museum and there are bus shuttles between Auschwitz 1 and Auschwitz-Birkenau 2 (Camp consists of two parts which are about 2 - 3 km apart).
I think due some railway work, the line between Trzebinia and Auschwitz was closed. As a result the substitute buses are provided for train passengers.
Você poderia me passar os horários de trem. Vou em junho/23 e comprei um ingresso, sem translado, para 11:00h. Tenho receio de não chegar a tempo.
Os trens de Cracóvia para Auschwitz partem a cada hora. Os ônibus estão esperando porque você terá que mudar do trem para o ônibus. Você compra a passagem no trem, tem um condutor.
Horário de acordo com o horário polonês.

Thanks for the video. Just one question, i did not understand if you bought a bus ticket or not. The train ticket you bought it inside the train, but the bus ticket?
I found that you can go with just only 1 train, from Kraków Main Station to the same station that you arrive. Was because the price that you choose train+bus instead only train?

One ticket. Purchased for the train but also valid for the bus.

about 30 minutes and the same by bus
