We lived just down the road, wildwood was a great place to grow up. There are so many changes and I am glad the city restored this building. So many of the beatiful homes were torn down.
Mr. Baker was a teacher at the high school in the 80s. Very sweet man. So happy they got his home protected! Once his parents passed away he was afraid the home would be torn down. Now the Monarch ranch is being sold. I knew grandma back in the mid 80s. We would listen to old country records on her player set while my mom did some things for her around the house. Such a sweet and special lady. Her home was smaller but cozy and welcoming. Best sweet tea I ever had in my life! RIP to those who came before us. I hope there's something left of it all once the Villages buys everything.
