The vault versions are always better, they say that they play the vault versions live I think the album sonic is more to put them out there more and chart higher and then when people come to their shows they see the real, heavier, better 5sos and realise how awesome they are

I thought CALM was a good album overall, but I was disappointed that Michael and Ashton didn’t have any solos. Luke and Calum are great singers, but Michael and Ashton should have more solos.

I agree! I've seen fans getting mad at other fans because they don't think people should be disappointed, which is so dumb. People are allowed to have opinions! I know Luke's the lead singer, but I always love getting to hear all the guys outside of the group harmonies. I'd be happy even if their songs are just bonus tracks! Calum's voice has definitely improved though, so it was nice to get at least one solo from him. But I also miss Michael's guitar solos :(

There’s this production effect called ‘compression’ that is super common in current music, and on drums it tends to flatten the sounds in order to make it sound as loud as possible. I guess because this is more live it’s mixed differently but I just love the rich acoustics of the drums here. It reminds me of the live drums in 80s songs
