I know 1 thing, Bonbon would NOT be grooming and loving up on Peach if King Kenta (RIP) were still alive! Peach was his woman and he would fight Bonbon over her! He loved Peach like No Other! 🙂
Poor cherry is on her own now without her son to protect her. Sad that she was moved to another zoo as an established adult in the group.
Sakura, Momoko, and Gin are loving life again! Cherry's a very interesting chimp. She's very manipulative, and cunning,. Now she's licking bark off pine trees.
Both her and Chico should have never been moved at such an age, hopefully they stay bonded together. Also they are letting Jun in so there is hope. They get plenty of food and bark is good for chimps.
Have you all watched recent videos of Chiko and Cherry at the new zoo (late February). Cherry looks like she has lost a tremendous amount of weight. She is eating lots in the videos but she looks extremely thin. I was always amazed by how muscular Cherry was in the Tama videos. Now she has lost most of that muscle mass. She looks horrible. The zoo that she and Chiko were moved to is not fit for chimpanzees in my opinion. The outdoor area is extremely small, I mean it is tiny and the indoor area looks no better. They look so bored there. I mean I know the zoo does what they can with the resources that they have and I’m sure they take good care of the Chimps in terms of food, etc. But for those two to go from Tama, a zoo with a huge Chimp enclosure and nice indoor areas too, to that small space at the new zoo has to be extremely depressing for them. I’m glad that Jun has some company now but it’s still a bad situation. I know in some of the videos I see Jun just sit down and start rocking his head back and forth really hard to the point of hitting his head on the wall. He has to be bored out of his mind with nothing to do but roam around in a tiny little outdoor lot. I wish something could be done about that situation. Sorry if I have offended anybody as I know I’m not in Japan and I don’t want to criticize a zoo thousands of miles from where I live, but it just concerns me that those chimps look miserable. Momoko steals food from Ibuki... She poked Fubuki in the eyes to prevent him from eating or using the ant hill... She doesn't carry herself very well and that's why she's always targeted... I never want to see any of them injured, but if Momoko gets her selfish feelings hurt from time to time, I'm ok with that...

Momoko is a P-I-G and I don't believe that it's mostly from hunger, she's selfish
Couldn’t help but notice that absolutely no one got involved with that one. Usually it’s a all out group effort to break fights up, but everyone stayed put, or moved away. Wonder if it’s because they didn’t want to miss their chance for more food, or if they saw it’s Momonko once again, and it’s food related, so let her get her butt kicked, we’re not interfering 🤷🏼
That was Cherry being a food thief! She's going to be chewing bark off pine trees today while Momoko has cabbage and peppers.
@@troycote4503 while I don’t wish any harm to her, am I wrong to say that Momoko has been bullied by Cherry and even Peach also the males for quite sometime? I guess I’m always for the under dogs but I’ve seen some videos of Cherry taking food out of hands of other females. I don’t have a clue who is the head alpha male, female, etc. where can I read up on this. I’ve also seen Peach bully the shit out of Ibuki all I care to. Princess Plum dishes it out then runs to mommy and needs stopped.
@@EmmaDee Amy I'm for the underdog too! This is why I love Sakura so much. When I first started watching, she just got separated from her family and twin brother and was only 7 or 8 trying to figure out how to get along with the others . She went from being the spoiled with Alpha parents and a brother and could do no wrong to having no one and was lost. Then Miru came around wanting to be Sakuras friend and kissing her and Marina, I got such a kick out of her. Peach is the Alpha female, and Bonbon the primary Alpha. Max is the Alpha of the second group with Gin always second in the Alpha position, he goes outside with both Bonbon, and Max . They keep Bonbon and Max separate for around 3 years now because when Bonbon got older, Kenta the original Alpha died in 2018, Bonbon started to dominate the other males along with Cherry at his side when there was a fight, and they didn't want Max hurt. He's the main breeding male and they didn't want Bonbon to hurt him. Gin backed down to both, and is content being second in command and he goes out with both groups. Cherry used to torment Gin when she was in estrus and would follow Gin everywhere and right behind Cherry was Bonbon. Gin saw this pissed Bombon off and didn't want problems with Bonbon. Of the Females, Peach is the Alpha, and Momoko is a low ranking chimp and didn't want Plum to play with Ibuki. I thinkPeach has become more tolerant of Momoko and Ibuki lately. I heard Peach attacked and killed Momokos baby around 10 years ago.Im surprised Momoko would let Ibuki, or Fubuki near her as they grew up! Momoko is a great mother, she loves to smile, clap her hands when hungry, and eat! Lol There's nothing that explains all of this but if you Google Tama Zoo Chimps, there's a list of the group, there ages, subspecies description, DOB, and family tree. There's 4 or 5 subspecies of chimps, including bonobos. I learned there ranking through watching hundreds of hours of these guys and learned a lot through the comment section. Grandma P, and Beth Ann taught me a lot. Also, Decky was number 2 6 years ago along with Kenta, and both Gin, and Max let him know that they're a team, and Decky fell down the pecking order. Bonbon and Cherry attacked Decky a little over 3 years ago where he got his toe bit off, and part of his lip. That was the third time Bonbon attacked Decky, and they've been separated since.
