Ironic thing is that the whole time during the Geth Dreadnought mission when Han'Garrell was royally screwing us I was thinking "I'd love to break that fuckers fishbowl head open!" and then seeing Shep punch him in the stomach and then threaten him? That was just perfect brilliance! Bioware delivered in that scene! Too bad that FAILED miserably in others...
Almost surprised he didn't hit back; maybe that hammered it into him that he nearly got his people killed under the premise that "mission parameters changed" when in reality he made them change in his favor (ONLY HIS FAVOR; "I was within my authority as Admiral of the Heavy Fleet") and nearly left the very people he's supposed to protect unprotected. You can't enjoy having your home planet back when your people are under attack, but you chose to focus on only one enemy. That Xen bitch can go with him.
Yeah, but the least he could've done is *CONTACT* Shepard and company (the second communications resumed if they were blocked) and *ASK* if they were done or not before letting loose-- and even if they hadn't been, he could've warned them, could've said, 'Get your asses off that dreadnought because in five minutes I'm opening fire, whether you're still on board or not.' He still would've been an asshole, but it would've made him LESS of an asshole than just opening fire without warning.

Hmm. I didn't punch him. I understood his reasoning with firing so quickly, and we all made it out ok. If you think about it from his point of view, if you see a massive target full of the things which have kept you from going home for 300 years, your gonna have an itchy trigger finger too
