      I've been there. I think school boards should REQUIRE mediocre teachers to watch good videos like this and learn how to teach.
      Problem is that mediocre teachers were taught in mediocre (often overrated) universities which also used poor quality teaching techniques. The problem goes much deeper than just the crappy teacher.

      Brandon Grasley I live in Canada and I’m in advanced math and in 11th grade. Yes, 11th grade. Math is so behind here compared to USA(idk about the other places but I’m in the French part of Quebec)

    Why can’t you use cosine law on second example?

      We don't know side d (we know e instead). With Cosine Law we have to either know all three sides, or we have to know two sides and the "contained" angle.
