This song has been on my mind a lot. there's a quality of fondness and beautiful memory of and for the ocean, yet there's a forlorn note in there. It cuts me extra deep because im now listening to this as i try to come to terms with leaving my home by the ocean for a very long time. Maybe forever. Friends and family are all on different paths in life. I chose to make a family, some chose their careers, some stayed where they began, others dont yet know where theyre going. And all i know is that im going very far away indeed, and i can only take the ocean in my memory. Thank you for bringing me this song.
