Hi Lila
I've watched your video and you are really great in teaching .
But if you let me to tell you an advice , in my opinion it's better to play the sound for audiences too .
You are teaching sound design but if the audiences don't hear the result they might not learn the whole point of lesson.
Anyway you are great & i subscribed you for more awesome videos of you
Thanks❤️
Thanks for the feedback! I agree. This video is quite old so I’ve improved my teaching style a lot😁
@@lilafromyoutube oh i see . sorry i did't pay attention to date .
anyway , i really like your videos and watch them everyday ❤️
this couldve been an 8 min video if you cut some of your ramblings
Lila your lighting up the screen even with no sound, love the colour grading and lighting, you own that.
heeee joe!! thanks love! you lighten up my day! ok, I'll go now before things get weird. 😂 p.s. when will you be uploading again?
Another brilliant tutorial Lila! You have such an amazing way of making things that appear to be difficult actually seem easy when following your step-by-step guide.
Thank you for taking the time to create and share this.
Calvin, thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear it's as easy as I'm trying to make it :) I'll be expanding this guide in the next few months! Is there anything you'd like me to dive into?
Not only are you a great teacher, you're a pleasure to listen to.
Scully's House of Thrillers was thanks jay!! Glad I’m a pleasure to listen to hahaha
Indeed! She is! it's only my 2nd video of her watching and I'm already subscribed and watching this well needed video! I have the feeling that, You seriously gonna be in the top youtubers in UP coming days. Mark my word!!!!!!

😂😂😂 thanks connor you're awesome!!
Just saw you uploaded this new one! Good for me since the last video I watched from your channel also dealt with audio. Thanks and keep uploading these helpful videos!

Binge watching all these tips today!! 🙆♀️
Miguel Runa 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
This came just at the right time for me, I've been struggling to get my audio as crisp as I'd like as well as currently switching from Davinci, you've convinced me that I'm doing the right thing for my videos! 👊
Woop!! Glad to hear that! If you have any questions, let me know. If you're really looking to get your audio to the next level, I'd recommend checking out adobe audition :)
Thanks @@lilafromyoutube! I've been using Audition for a while actually, I think it's more that I do a fair bit of outdoor filming and the clean-up of audio can be tough or just not possible when the source material is just ...bad.
@@deanominator7262 yeah I get that. what mic do you film with? A good mic with dead cat can make a lot of difference already!
@@lilafromyoutube I use a Rode Videomicro but often use a lav. The micro just does not cut it in windy conditions. The range of videos means that I often need a different set up as the situations can vary widely!
Great video! What camera are you using to record this?
Thanks! I'm using the a7iii ( amzn.to/3hDCciU ) with a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 lens ( amzn.to/355hiUF ). I hope that helps!

Hi Lila and thank you for the great (and not too long) tutorials. Can I ask you to please play the actual sound for the project that you make? That way we can hear what you do with the volume, transitions, and SFX. It would help better understand what you are showing us. Thank you so much :)

Merry christmas alex 😊🎄
very nice tutorial thanks for the videos please make more and more videos for learning
Great tutorial! Got a question about putting on an electro beat after having my video done including speed Ramps, transitions, effects etc, is there a way to put a sound on afterwards and match the video clips to the sound? Or do I have to put a sound on at first and match the clips to the audio? Since I got my video done without Audio files, is there a way to match a sound afterwards without changing my default transitions etc? Please help 😁
you have to match it manually to the music
Thanks! 🙂
Welcome!!
if I edit my audio using eq and compressor effects, should I do the auto-match in the beginning or later?
Hi , I love this video! i saw you said the J and L cuts video is in the the description but i dont see it . Can you post it please?
omg almost watched this a year to date. merry xmas!!!
Hahaha how awesome!!! Merry christmas 😁
Hey Lila! Love your vids. Quick Q - if you want to auto match loudness, do you always have to select all audio? I.e. if we add in a clip later in the project, will we have to re-select all clips and then auto match? Or just select the new clip? Thanks!
You can just select the one clip if I'm not mistaken!
@@lilafromyoutube thank you!!!
thanks for the video

Hey I have a question. What can you do if you recorded a video with obs and you’re trying to quiet down the ps5 background noise as you are talking. Basically both audio were recorded into one. I splitted them into mono audio tracks but I can’t lower just the game audio without changing the volume of my voice. What should I do? I really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
Thank you

Hello. I want to ask for help, maybe you will know. There is such a thing when I add music to the project panel then the song sounds very good and in good quality, but when I add it to the timeline then the song is in poor quality :( maybe you can help?
Sometimes we see videos that kill the music with editing. These are very useful tips, thanks for sharing!
Glad this was helpful!
Lila do you have vid that explains how to separate audio from video, so you can use it as a separate track? Thanks for your time, the vids are helping so much.
Right click > unlink!
@@lilafromyoutube u du bomb! thanx
when i highlight everything, go to essential sounds < dialogue, it highlights 15/20 clips. how could this be? and what can i do
I just added 3 swoosh SE in rapid succession. The first one is very loud and the other two are barely audible. They are all set to the same Db level. Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks. You are one of my favs.
Did you change the volume manually? And did add the labels?
Thanks so much, I applied the learnings in my latest hyper-lapse video on Sydney available on my channel.

Lila I discovered you yesterday, u are really simple and amazing! Keep up the good work! 😊
@@ElMasie I will! Do you have any suggestions for videos?
Lila you could do a tutorial on what’s your workflow process, so how you organise your footage in the timeline, the selection of the clip process and if you do something in particular to organise your work! That would be nice to know! I’m trying to find my workflow looking by others people method 🙂
Lila my question is “if you wanted to speed up the interpreted 60p footage back to normal speed, would you just speed it up to 250%? would it playback the same uninterpreted 60p footage in a 24p timeline?”
Hi Lila,
I think you should play the audio track you're editing in the video in the background
Like you just fade the music out fade the track in and then get back to the music when you have your face on screen.
I'm not entirely following, but I know I should've showed the results in this video or at least demonstrated the effects. Sorry about that!
Hi Lila - I am trying to follow your tutorial but I don't have the same layout for creating a key frame. Could you possibly break it down even more slowly or me how to start/stop a keyframe?
Hi Stephanie, what do you mean you don't have the same layout?

Thanks!
