    Remember that game mode they tested a while back when one side was defending and the other side was attacking. These features would be perfect for that game mode because the defending players can set up defensive positions before the battle moves on to the next phase in the match.

    I think dozer blades should dig deeper and pile dirt higher per movement. Currently, the digging is absolutely useless in a live game. I would like to see the SPG/ATGM digging mechanic become a sand bag position. Like "the crew" builds a sand bag wall and then places dirt in front of it. Similar to some of the defenses you can find on some maps or ground assault modes.

      and now imagine huuge map that could support 64 players with atleast 7 cap points and everysingle one has it's own strategic value, such as fuel, ammo, both, etc... damn, could be interesting but knowing Gaijin... I just don't see such thing coming at all sadly

    I really wish they’d give sim mode some attention. Enduring Confrontation has so much potential that they’re completely ignoring and it’s so incredibly frustrating.

      I wish they'd come up with more dynamic game modes. Look to WoWS escort and arms race games for inspiration - dynamic objectives which cause new confrontations in different parts of the map and have different game paces.
      Closest we have now to a truly different mode is Battle with the 2 capture points. It's still very similar to 3 point maps in how it plays out, but has a super passive strategic emphasis. They can be more creative. They can use some labor hours for dev time. Their enormous library of fully modeled ground vehicles and their procedural damage simulation system should have more content built around it than "hold the circle area while having a deathmatch".

    The ammo box mechanic seems cheesy, but at this stage of the game it seems like giving off-meta vehicles something to do behind the front lines is overall helpful to the gameplay environment. Maybe after individual testing this can be elevated to a more teamwork focused feature. 'Request ammo resupply' and your teammate with a utility helicopter brings you a crate, or, likewise, a nearby TD or missile carrier could cede their supply crate to you specifically. Honestly, I always enjoyed playing logistics in Battlefield, but that's a very different game.

      for the helo supply missions, majority of the maps are way too small right now... otherwise it would be a great mechanic to have in the game... supplies, maybe finally tanks could use an actual fuel mechanic to be implemented and more vehicles and vehicle features could be added. Objectives could gain a strategic value like at A point you can resupply your fuel, at B point your ammo and at C point maybe both, like in CoH

    i like the camonet idea, but we dont need just a wall, we need camo tents to hide the tank from CAS planes and helicopters maybe.
    (in minority im a air force player btw.)

    I think the net camo should also be available naturally according to the environment. For example some maps can have certain things like haybales which you in a heavy tank can poke your gun through (sort of like In That movie T 34) and perhaps hedgehogs that can be placed or small hedge hogs that can be moved but require a lot of time.

      I'd have liked to have seen ammunition carriers, usable as a mobile repair/re-arm point... but I could see games being lost because too many people spawn in in vehicles with no weaponry.

    If they're going to add this, I think it could be cool for them to ad electronic warfare planes that can targets planes and improve or reduce their electronic capabilites and reduce missile effectiveness, either as player vehicles or as Bot planes that can be target to increase your teams effectiveness.

    So we're getting building before open top reload animations...m. surly they would be easier to make then this to implement... I get they already have enlisted where the technology can be transferred I guess but I'd like to see some animation on open top vehicle crews

    I honestly really like the change. TDs/SPGs need a buff. I don’t think it’ll go through tho, 90% of players play light/mediums and don’t want anything to affect their ability to walk over the rest of the game.

    It's like the engineer class in enlisted. I like it. Stationary fire bases would be nice. Ones that make the artillery units into point and click adventure.

    I wish we get new game modes like a map as large as the air rb maps but for combined battles filled with AI targets like AI tanks, artillery positions and pillboxes, trains, trucks and more to destroy, then airfields and bases that can be capitured to let friendly aircraft and tanks (ai and player controlled) spawn there. And then play with combat engeering vehicles that can built new AI positions and bring dead tanks back to a base to save the friendly players some repair costs.

    I'm thinking it would be better to have an area in the rear to go to for ammo resupply or like artillary have an ammo drop in the area you sellect on the map. But maybe just the once or twice ingame. With the creating a trench or camo area I'm thinking warthunder could introduce actual engineering vechles in each countries lineup and that you can use in a game. As soon as the job is done then to push a button and within say a minute have the SPAA or TD you want reappear in the spawn area without loosing a life. Anyway its interesting that they are making some realistic changes but with the ammo resupply in reality its brought to your tank or you have to drive to the resupply area.

    Nah, nah, TDs always had a place, but there were more affected by the map they played on, Gaijin has some blame to take here with all the map "reworks" that cut off chunks of maps, blocked off and turned into deadzones.
    Edit: Though speaking of scouting, the ELC Bis still needs that.

    None of this should be added. All it does is promote camping (most likely away from objectives) and will lower win rates bc ppl wont want to leave their spots.
    Not to mention you can abuse the hell of the ammo boxes by just playing a top down missile carrier that can fire completely from behind cover and have infinite ammo instead of only 8 rounds.

    Support abilities are a good idea if implemented correctly.
    I however this would be a better idea for a new type of vehicle entirely, not for TDs. TDs are fine IMO. Pushing down their BR is fine. If that is still not enough, just reduce their spawn point costs too. Spawn point cost reductions across the board would be a good idea too, not just for TDs.
    Hot take here, this would shake the game up but I think it could be good.
    Infantry. Yes yes, I know Enlisted exists. But I'm not talking in the way that Enlisted has them, Enlisted is FPS and you directly control the units still. Infantry should be added in War Thunder as a spawned consumable from a new type of vehicle. APCs/IFVs. The player of war thunder will be controlling the APC and can deploy squads of infantry which are controlled by the AI. This shouldn't be too hard as you can just use the AI that Enlisted has for its NPCs. Perhaps once deployed the APC player can give general move orders to their spawned unit, like advance in this direction, hold this point, etc... but not direct control. The infantry squad in the vehicle can be upgraded with different equipment, possibly some light anti-tank capabilities. We could even have specialized units like a towed anti-tank gun that the player can deploy to hold a position. Infantry could capture and hold victory points, while also being quite dangerous to light vehicles at close range which is currently the meta.
    The APCs then could provide a vehicle for the Snail to give support abilities to. Especially for some which could be added to the game without much in the way of anti-vehicle armament. This would also allow the addition of some vehicles to the game that otherwise wouldn't make sense, like M2 halftracks that only have a .50cal. Such a vehicle would be kinda useless in the current game, but if there are infantry and support abilities it could be useful.
    Existing IFVs in the game could also be rolled into this new category, perhaps with smaller less capable squads of infantry to compensate for the IFV having some actual combat power.
    APCs could have choices for different support abilities that could be swapped in the module screen, all abilities should be only active while stationary. I think some good options might be Mobile Resupply(vehicle acts as a capture zone for resupply/repair purposes in a small radius for friendlies while stationary), Recon(auto-scouts enemies within a small radius(

    I do pretty well in TD/SPG its juat a different play style. Position yourself overlooking a cap zone/high traffic area.

      on a side note the major aspect of tank warfare is that anti tank infantry dictates how tanks position themselves relative to enemy vehicle positions.
      for arcade and realistic battles i totally get that this isn't viable for gameplay purposes. but in sim we should have ai anti tank infantry. wouldn't make sense to have them and not regular infantry.
      that said are war thunder and the ai mechanic from enlisted compatible?
      I get it's not a copy paste solution.

    I like these ideas, but these wouldn't work in smaller maps I think.
    I believe that Gaijin should do more radical things and this would be a step in a direction (not sure if better or worse).

    I will admit whenever I play my jagdtiger I always hope that I end up on a map which I can use my whole down capability and very good gun to basically pick off people from a distance which the jagdtiger is good at but it kind of depends on what map you get, but if this helps vehicles like the (IT_1) and the (panzerwerfer 42), it just means you can prepare a defensible position and essentially locked down a spot on the map

      Adding AT guns literally imbalances the entire game. The sturmtiger can already kill multiple tanks with one round. Then you’d have another fully functional gun?
      That would be a nightmare and horribly imbalanced.

    They remove spots from maps cut places redzon flank making them corridor shoters. Now they want to build on this maps. Also tree range removes objects still. This whole idea right now with all this is pointless and stupid. Would be interesing if you in example make ifvs carry crew replacements for temmats etc.

    none of these make any sens ein the current state of the game
    Right now we play CoD with tanks. None of these will work in that, the ammo replenishment might be the closest to working.
    The other two are only sensible if we return to the older more sim oriented gameplay with matches lasting 30+ minutes. with bigger maps with actualy objectives on them (not the "yea its big poland, it lays like smal poland but now you drive 4 minutes to get to the same gameply you would have had with smal poland" large maps we have right now). But gaijin wonˋt do that

    the only good thing about a capture point is the fact that the enemy goes there. I have ZERO understanding on why tf everyone rushes caps. why it gives so much rewards for having. why the game ends so fast on ticket bleed. or why they limited it to 25 minutes when it WAS 45. all limiting what you used to call fun. Just because some blind ass cod kids wanna rush a or rush b and die before they even get there.

    It would be interesting if they reworked ground assault with building mechanics. Turned it into more of a defense gamemode as apposed to the slog that it is. Maybe allowing you to build artillery emplacements/dugouts. Could be interesting if it’s exclusive to certify game types. Other than that I see it becoming annoying to deal with.

    Classic Gaijin over complicating a solution. You want to replenish ammo in zones, just add an extra 2 or 3 small zones for it on different spots of the map. The camo nets is terrible idea, people already complain about bushes, this is just that but amplified, and trenches are stupid, we already have dozer blades in game and no one uses them, the game already has a billion bugs in it, and the development time could and should be used to fix things rather than design more things that are just dumb.

      @@krle7970 they would innovate moving this game to new engine or adding multi threaded support, fixing bugs, updating EAC on servers to latest versions (Anti cheats are like anti viruses, you need to update them regularly). This is just a thing no one asked about. Fixing maps, giving more things to do bar capture points, etc. Making BR matchmaking to be not +/- 1.0, but +/- 0.7 is something I ask for years. Those are things people WANT.

    They could just make ATGM's useable again.
    I hope they have fixed infantry spotter or MANPAD deployable infantry or JTAC's from choppers with troop capacity. Who march to a location and digg in where they will remain for the rest of the match. Giving machines targets for their 7.62 and grenade launchers and high explosive weapons. They could dig in or cammo up depending on their roll but remain fixed. They would be designed as a nuisance as opposed to outright destroying enemy machines.
    IFV's and choppers with troop transport capacity could really help narrate and dress the battle field.
    Chopper small arms door gunners could be introduced having something to do.
    They could help delay lite armor like a battery of dug in M2 brownings or an RPG or 2. There could be a sniper class that sits at the top of the food chain for infantry to infantry interactions who spots or JTAC's,
    Riflemen Grenadiers, Anti Tank and support weapons. Maybe even chopper lifted lite field guns or anti infantry mortars. Battle field dressing, distractions and opportunities to give away positions.
    Every machine gun on the field would raise in value somewhat especially machines armed only with 20mm cannon for instance. Tank tracks become a weapon!

    That sounds incredibly good, playing the French Mephisto was a bit of a pain in the ass because you have only 12 shots. And yes the low tier TD's really need that, the only problem is the maps which are often really closed and push you towards close quarter fights like 38th parallel.

    They need SPG mechanics. Something that that SPGs can aim at not like world of pranks.       I agree with this.
      If a team mate marks a position on the map, you should be able to use a fire solution to hit it.
      SPG’s are fun but not practical in WT a lot right now

    Ammo boxes: Campers rejoice! We've heard your cries of help. Actually having to engage with match objectives is boring, so we're giving you the ability to just ignore them.
    Trenches and mounds: We've seen an almost complete disregard from the community for the digging mechanics introduced a while back. Dozer blades are much more useful to randomly bounce APFSDS anyway, so we've decided to just have the digging done for you.

    Actually I see this as a good idea, this game miss a lot of mechanics, that would help to fix the main problem, no matter the mode its always about capping bases... its boooooring, over so many years, they finally start to make NEW stuff. Next please make artillery vehicles work as intented. Saw many times dudes with custom crosshair using uav to mark the target and then shoot it with HE rain.

    I think that the camo net could be OP because if you put the camo net and bushes on your tank it will be almost impossible to spot your target especially things like m48 or some boxes with ATGMS .

    I hope it doesn't become bloated gimmick stuff like Planetside 2, but the way the game plays out, that is probably not really an issue, so I figure more options, creative ones too, is a positive, and it JUST MIGHT be the start of an approach that looks for gameplay opportunities outside the actual vehicles.

    Hm, actually a lot of TD/SPGs have got best armor in game, frontally. I always think about TDs as Sniper class in any other FPS game lol.
    This ammo box on ground and being in defensive position. Gaijin gives fuel to cheaters once more. They already can snipe people from 2-3km away. Give them option to have infinite ammo and damn, this will be hilarious. Also camo nets? Really? Giving fuel to cheaters once again. Imagine that. They already rigged replay system for cheaters benefit. Now they do this. I hope it doesn't go through.
    Ammo in zones would be cool and it's the only change I can accept.

    Stupid ideas mostly. Especially as they are giving it to every TD not just the one that need it. Do Gaijin even play their game? People just rush about like idiots. They have made it so camping is less effective, yet now they want to introduce this crap to try and get people to stay in one position! Stupid.
    Most maps are so tiny now that you can rush to enemy spawn within seconds. Anyone trying to dig a ditch is just going to get caught out if it takes that long. How many people do you ever see using the dozer blades?? None.
    So many better things that they could be working on.

    I don't know what to think about these, honestly. I feel like they are way too arcadey for the game, and those mechanics could be implemented on many other ways.
    I feel like the game would benefit much more from a new support class of vehicles that could do these support tasks.
    These would mostly be IFVs, engineering vehicles and similar others that could fit into the support role IRL, depending on what kind of support they would provide (existing vehicles could carry troops that would give buffs and debuffs for cap zones, others would carry some amount of ammo - any ammo - for allied vehicles, and *maybe* new niche vehicles could provide a wider array of support tasks, such as actual combat engineer vehicles providing bigger ammo carrying capacity, shovels for digging trenches, laying down bridges and boosting ally repair time/repairing multiple allies at once.

    This sounds horrific. Extremely arcade-like similar to the weird stuff world of tanks did.
    Instead of decompressing BRs and addressing horrible map design they want to keep adding more disruptive mechanics instead of fixing the core issues.

      How is digging trenches and setting up a position with supplies like real life being more arcade-like? Ah yes Men of War Assault Squad my favorite arcade game it practically goes hand in hand with Tetris. And they won’t be disruptive, it will take considerable time to build any of these things. Trust me people taking 60 seconds to dig a hole or set up a camo fense will be less disruptive than some medium/light dropping 3 artillery strikes on your position in 15 seconds

      Giving more options to those scummy players who do not get banned instantly will kill this game sooner than you think. Naval is rigged with botting accounts so is Air RB/Sim.
      Yet, EAC has not been updated on server side since forever.

      @@info0 over 200k players have been banned in the last 6 months, if the game loves cheaters they’ve got a funny way of showing it cause statistically some of those 200k gotta be legit cheaters. Plus these items will take around 30-60 seconds to set up, real cheaters rarely take that long as that adversely effects their grind speed.
