The PTTA methods of training Kali have become more in demand in recent years, but finding local instructors in remote parts of the world is often difficult.
Additionally, current practitioners of Filipino or other Martial Arts are often looking for resources to supplement their regular training.
The online training platform, Pekiti University, was created to address these demands, and will continue to evolve into a resource that will keep you progressing in your pursuit of the Filipino Martial Arts.
Pekiti University will also be a source of training and information on the PTTA - TRICOM programs that were developed over the past two decades to meet the training needs of police and military Special Operations around the world.

I see alot of good things. Yes in this demonstration platform it's unrealistic but how else are you going to clearly demonstrate the aspects of the techniques.
If you set this up from the clinch using different aspects of the above video, I feel you would have even more tools to deal with a bladed assailant.

what if he has a double bladed knife????🤔🤔🤔

In a real knife attack you would never be able to use this, never.

I mean absolutely no disrespect in my comment But I would never put my hand or my arm against a blade whether it was the side of the blade or the back of the blade to disarm someone Now before all the haters start jumping all over me for what I just said I have over 50 years experience in the martial arts End Kali is one of the systems... I have seen these techniques But they bring too much danger to oneself Is my own opinion I would break the elbow dislocate the shoulder etc etc But I would not do or teach this technique Again enclosing I have nothing but respect for this teacher But I cannot approve Is in any way shape or form of doing this technique....

OK I'm gonna say this one more time Everyone's entitled to their opinion even if they're wrong this technique is not going to work plain and simple You really think that the person's gonna stand there while you're doing this Ridiculous ridiculous technique I'm sorry this is getting out of hand now now this is a dojo no joke technique it's not gonna work in the street plain and simple if you grab my wrist try to wrestle my arm what do you think I'm gonna do with my other hand stand there and stare at you I'm gonna punch you repeatedly in the face while you're grabbing my arm then I'm gonna take the arm that holds the knife and I'm gonna stick it in you repeatedly So please unless you've got some experience which room I have combat stopwatching a video and again this is no disrespect to the gentleman who's doing this at Nick everybody's got their "on" on way but this is not going to work on the street stop it grow up If I'm the gentleman holding the knife and you're gonna try to push it off my hand I'm gonna punch you kick you elbow you and then I'm gonna stab you repeatedly this technique doesn't work.

@MrFreak9.1.1 you contradict your own words. This clown, when defending against an attack by an opponent and then grabbing the opponent's hand, does nothing to injure the opponent. For this reason, everything will break when running at speeds at the very beginning and nothing will work. I am silent about the mass of other errors, which are full there. He absolutely does not understand how to make kota gaeshi (in Japanese terminology).

@@user-ou6cs6vm6e wtf are you talking about dude this vid does not say that you are going to pull this off in a real fight or say that tgis and that is effective. Its only for demonstrative and promotional purposes.

@@user-ou6cs6vm6e I think I'd take the words of the guy in the video (who has decades of experience in police and swat units) than some armchair neckbeard keyboard warrior saying that everything he says is wrong.

This will definitely get you killed.
under stress and sweating with less fine motor skills and a massive adrenaline dump and likely bleeding already from fucking about and flapping your arms…. Very slippery , very easy to slip and end up with the blade imbedded deep in your body, or bleed out from inner arm/wrist/bicep cuts while trying to trap.
Good technique but not for the average Joe who is not training and more than likely has never had to defend against a knife.
A knife attack is brutal, terrifying, and blood pumps out of the body at an alarming rate when you have adrenaline coursing through your Dilated veins.
I appreciate the art form but the reality is your already dead.
Carry concealed, and practice double tapping.
    Stay frosty….

That’s a very dangerous technique. You will get your forearm sliced. It’s so impractical.

  • @zineddineblacko4811

    That's stupid
Do not try that in real fight, it won't work

As art form very nice. But for practicality it will not work
