You have a lot of smaller and bigger beaches on the stretch between Nea Iraklitsa and Kavala, and this one, 6 km from Nea Iraklitsa, caught my eye.
Palio Beach is about 1600 m long and is the city beach of the place also called Palio Kavala or Old Kavala.
Palio Kavala has been a place for rich Greeks who spent weekends in their luxury villas outside Kavala or rented them for several thousand euros a month during the season. Since then, this western part of Kavala has been jokingly called Saint Tropez.
The beach has extremely fine, clear sand and is mostly of solid width.
In most parts of the beach, entering the water is excellent, but there are also rare parts where you have these larger stones in the shallows.
For the most part, the beach is organized by beach bars or owners of accommodation facilities, of which there are many in the background of the beach.
Of course there are also free places for your umbrellas and towels.
The seabed, except in rare parts where there are larger stones in the shallows, is extremely clean and safe for the youngest.
In every part of this beach, composed of several smaller bays, there are houses for lifeguards, but they were not here during this visit in early June ... Since the shoal lasts for an extremely long time, there may be no great need for lifeguards.
In the background of the beach there is an extremely beautiful children's playground, which can be interesting for those who choose this place for summer vacations.
Also nearby is the Holy Church of the Assumption and an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of modern architecture right by the sea.
The city beaches in this area are really good, so the place Palio Kavala got a big plus because of its beach.
In two months, we are again in the same area, in the neighborhood, in Nea Peramos, so that was all for this arrival. It is a real surprise that Nea Iraklitsa is not more popular among our tourists, considering that what we saw these 5 days is extremely beautiful, and the area is between Asprovalta and Thassos, which are extremely visited by Serbian tourists. In any case, I have reason to believe that this will change in the coming years.
