Hey, just wanted to thank CM for doing this, and for me stumbling onto this video. I was just about to pull the trigger and buy this for $19.99 as a Black Friday deal, and just came to CZcams to get a demo of the synth. Buying the (recent) back issue of CM was a much cheaper way to pick up this little synth. Then, when I went to do that, I saw that the January issue is offering Icarus 1.6 from Tone2. Purchased that issue as well, assume I will have no problem upgrading this to V2.x on their website. Even though V3 is out now and there is a paid upgrade path, having V2.x for peanuts will suit me just fine.
ImpOSCar 3 must be on the horizon!
Okay, that's basically confirmed the upcoming release of impOSCar 3 in my opinion. No doubt GForce want as many people as possible to own impOSCar 2, to encourage even more upgrades to v3 when that releases. And to be honest, this is an insanely great deal. impOSCar 2 is by far my favourite GForce synth (and I own all their synths). If I didn't already own the plugin, I'd be snatching up a copy of this magazine for that incredible giveaway offer. I hope enough people hear about this to encourage copies of your magazine to fly off the shelves.
Hopefully GF really goes for the third version soon. Great sounding synth!
Maybe it will have init patch lol
@@kalintonev or they just abandoned the vst
@@jno8039No, it's not the case here. I can confirm that after having a quick chat with a GForce employee. No more details were given though.
Lolz! This is still one of the best virtual synths ever made, and clearly still holds up. Glad it’s free for beginners. I would have loved to have had this on the cover disc back in the day. All we had was CM101.
@@grimacebocephus It's true! Pick up issue 328 and you'll be able to access impOSCar 2
When this software first came out some maniac working as Touch Digital made a boutique controller just for it that looked just like the software's UI. I see one used on Reverb for $600 lol
Probably, soon we can expect 3rd version available for purchase
Damn thank u so much, it's just a so analog synth
Amazing
Great synth, but looooong overdue for an update (at least on the Windows version). it's almost like they just abandoned it years ago.
I got Minimonsta 1 on a 'throwaway' deal somewhere like pluginboutique. Resulted in a major discount on Minimonsta 2 when it came out. Probably something similar happening here, this is a loss leader for Imposcar 3.
They did "abandon" it but it works fine, no updates needed. With this being given away with CM Mag (and now Beat mag too) ImpOSCAR 3 is surely on its way. Stay tuned.
how does it work? So I buy the december issue now, and then wait for it to become available on the 1st of nov, then can download the software?
buy issue 328.. look for that on the front..
@@grimacebocephus thanks!
Is there a download link in the magazine? It just says download from the gforce page.
Why do folks insist on posting silly questions and requests on YT vid comment sections instead of searching online or contacting the mag or dev directly? 🤦♂️
