My new main class. I've been waiting so long since they turned warden into a heal class with light tanking. Necro was a close second and I almost went through swap. The arcanist is perfect. Big dark elf fan big tel Vanni fan and HYPED as heck. Looking like an s tier year.

The endless dungeon will prolly be really good for leveling up characters since you can bring a friend.

Keep in mind that the reveal is basically cinematic! They are going to cranky the fidelity up to 10 for the reveal stream and pre-rendered videos! They may dial that down a lot for the release
Exactly lol. All the pics and videos are so vibrant and top-notch...then you get in the game and it looks and plays like a dead corpse trying to dig itself out of the grave it dug.

A levitation spell would be great and useful. Also, I'd like to see a Mark/Recall spell like in Morrowind.
I honestly wasn't expecting much, in saying that a new class is really ambitious. Handcrafting environments as well as new DLC dungeons also takes up a lot of time, I love now they're looking into procedural generated dungeons in the endless dungeons.
also, this class reminds me of the Nidus frame from Warframe in its ability to get stronger with more kills.

I'm not disappointed in spell crafting not being announced, as I'm not sure how it would add much to the game outside of maybe pvp. I mean, we don't need anything to make end game content any easier, and we DEFINITELY don't need anything to make overland content any easier, so what exactly would be the point of learning this whole other sub-system? Again, in pvp it could make for some cool dynamics, but not sure what it would be bringing to pve. I am excited to play the new class, although not so excited that on day one of the release I will be surrounded by 10,000 other players playing it too. ;)
It's a step up from last year but theres still more left to be desired.
Two or my guild mates preordered and the mount (mushroom horse) was invisible.. so even the preorder content is bugged.
I love harmaeous mora and his realm, the teleport ability they showed, and the endless dungeon idea.
apparently that invisibility bug is caused by the show mount upgrades, if u choose to hide them the mount is visibile
Theyre lucky its invisible it looks like a horse made of sausages or hamburger or something f'ed up!
Ive never in my life pre-ordered content... ever, until now. I actually did blackwood content for aclittle while after it came out. But im excited for this.
Watched the reveal today and looks really cool. 3 friends and I played TESO from launch for years but left for a break about a year ago. All 3 of us planned to come back about a month ago. Redownloaded the game and verified the account through the email online but then when we tried to enter the game the launcher said it was sending a verification code and it never shows up. 8 days of support tickets with recommendations we have tried and now support won't even return our emails anymore after having tried everything they have said. I've played MMOs since they were invented and this is the only time I have had this much trouble coming back to a product. So apparently the 3 of us will just have to stay gone. And this is an issue that I can find threads for going back to 2016. Great job Zenimax.

I love the reveal of the new class and some of the teases of things to come but I am slightly concerned about what the all-attunables-in-one stations imply for the attunables I already own. I hope they mean we can use a method to combine a set of stations into one for those that already worked through getting some of them beforehand.
Hypcripha was added in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. You had to fight the first Dragonborn and take his place as Herma Mora's personal Dragon pet.
I loved Morrowind so going back there will be nice. And I'm also really excited about this new class. Time to create a new Dunmer. The only problem I have with the game is the combat system. Oh I love it but I'm getting old and hands hurt after a few hours of gaming. Other than that this is one of the best MMOs out there at the moment. The world is huge. A new expansion is an immediate buy for me... even if I almost did not play High Isle.
Hope there is new housing too!

Before this I was planning on pre ordering diablo 4. Now i am excited for a cosmic-horror themed class. May possibly change my mind if Blizzard comes out with a Monk or Crusader class before launch, but I dont think they can top the arcanist class for ESO
Endless Dungeon Feature, OK Going out on a limb here, I assume it has normal and vet modes, and, gets progressively harder or may require certain skills to get through each level etc will certainly make it an interesting feature to play through with a friend (or companion?) This will also go towards addressing the ''harder overland content required' request too. What I think will make it a massive success if it also comes with a Ranking System, and with that, earnable in game cosmetics. Platform Leader boards (all time) and Monthly Leader boards for competitive fun with everyone, and we could even have a Guild leader board too for added guild cohesion. It is likely set in Apocrypha so I can see that the loot tables ought to have every crafting book, recipe and Furniture plan available to that loot table too.
What they could have done to really build up hype, is the just reveal the road map with the quality of life, the new system and the new dungeon type, just reveal it, and dont know new compagnon.. its not something that you schould be hype to reveal, but this is actually the best we got since Elsweyr and im hype about it, a class is as much PVP content than PVE. Poeple are crying for no reason right now
Right? Definitely a slap in the face to say "You have to wait until the end of the year to find out" after they hyped everything up so much. New class & chapter is cool and all but not any sort of major change. Seems like just more false promises and corporate jargon, which is typical for ZOS. Smdh. Wont be buying, will check back in 2024, many better games to play in the meantime.

A class is a hige update, but ur also right that they didnt totch harder overland content and the reward system. I wish they would have.told us that spellcrafting was or was not in the plans. (Its probably not tho)

Lol, I love the card game. I'm a new player, so I have way too much to do in game to focus on it, but I love deck builders. Fingers crossed they give us a phone app at some point
I really wish ESO would go the route some other games long in the past have done or you would have a true summoner or maybe animal tamer or you could actually have a follower of different animals or combat purposes or as if the pet dies it dies but possibly once he gets to a certain rank and leveling like a companion does then it's able to be resurrected like any other character the possibilities for combat pets would be awesome they already have the structure built
I am hyped for a new class. I haven't been playing eso alot lately. I have been doing so play thoughs on Elden Ring. But I love ESO so I am excited for more fun theory crafting.

I might log in and check out the new class, but I doubt I will reactivate my ESO+. To get me to resub I need to not lag when in Cyrodiil or other content more serious than overland quests.
Seeing the game play on this reminds me of Prototype on the PS3 with all of the morphing of his arms and what not.

as someone who hasn't played since Q4 of elsewyr. i may just have to actually come back to the game now. Necrom looks like it's going to be amazing
Edit: I'm more so excited because it's dark elf focused and Morrowind is by far my favorite DLC added to ESO, so getting more Morrowind in the game just makes me get even more excited.
The new class charge up mechanic sounds similar to the assassin from diablo 2.

Yeah, it all looks cool, but (as Brah mentioned), as long as the "rewards system" is so stingy, there doesn't look like there will be much reason to play often once the novelty thrill wears off.
I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm still waiting for them to reformat the player market... Having to visit different traders in each zone has been an absolute nightmare since it was first implemented.
Rest assured I reserved one character spot for my new telvanni/dunmer magicka arcanist. I got him name and looks already =D Perhaps I need spots for healthy and stamina arcanists too. Or how about hybrid arcanist of some sort? What fashion would fit nerdy book carrying rune singer healer.. hmm.. pets? If you didn't notice yet, a new class gives me most the hype. Also nothing wrong about investigating new areas. Endless dungeons cry for leaderboard.

The thing I'm most excited about the cinematic trailer is the dark elf with non-red eyes. A solid visual proof that not all dunmers have the typical red eyes. Obviously it's not a mistake or the devs forgot the lore. For someone of a bit OC, i can finally make a dunmer character with black eyes and not worry about the lore. LoL. I know it's not a big deal, but for me it kinda is. 😅
i too am very surprised about the classes, but yeah it feels like a revamp of all classes would be nice, endless dungeon would be great i hope they make it worth farming. Arcanist looks really fun! im exited but Diablo is my true passion so eso expansion will get got..... later lol
The dungeons are already endless. Who has that kind of time? lol. Also, I think it is going to be a lot like Shadowland's Torghast, where every floor looks the same. It just doesn't sound fun to me, but I am excited about the new class. I really wish they would come up with some new weapons, like a death staff or glaives.
I think that a new weapon would have been better since every class would have access but at least it's something. Personally i was hoping for a spell blade. I think same as sns but a book instead of the shield. I stopped playing mmos altogether 4 months ago.

I really like magical like specials, but I prefer physical attacks. The staves in game really just don't do it for me

Man been look for a mmo to play for years, try out wow classic in 2020 and it just didn’t hit the same as it did when I was a kid. My question is, is it worth picking up this game as a new player this late into the game. Plus lowkey this new class looks sick as a huge Skyrim fan being able to use the black books as spells looks cool.

I'd say yes. I started playing a few months ago and have really enjoyed it.
Base game is cheap as chips, you can get it for 7 euros or less on cdkeys store. Subscription is optional, main takeaway is acess to all DLC (except big expansion chapter zones) and crafting material storage. You can definitelly try the game without the subscription though, there's plenty of content for you to see if you like it and material storage can be sorted out with addons. And if I'm not mistaken, they just announced that all the previous expansion chapters are available in the base game, but i'm not sure - think of it like if you buy WoW base game, you get all the expansions up to Dragonflight for free.
Yes you should iv been on since the Beta and this game is great for new players. Tons to do, learn and explore. Shit.. I wish, I could go back and get those new player feelings.
Combat in this game is one of the best out of all MMOs that I've played... when it works. The game has been experiencing performance problems due to old servers and game engine. But that's mostly a problem only in PvP content. PvE does not suffer from these problems too much.
Gearing is also my favorite out of all the MMOs that i've played - when you hit max level, you don't simply get the best gear and be done with it. Your character is highly customizable and you can really chose the way you want to play your character. Sneaky invisible rogue healer? Sure. Archer templar? Definitelly. Shaman/druid/hunter dude with a shield in one hand and sword in the other - you got it. And you get to try everything, any way you want it. When you get your first gear set, you will go and immediatelly want to try another. And then another set, and then another... And the game ever keeps changing and growing horizontally. Old content is still relevant to this day.
A endless dungeon is not a fundamental change but it's a fundamental new feature!

Broken game adding what will surely be more broken things to the game before you even get around to what’s already broken lmfao there have been known bugs in this game for years. As far the new class I would personally like to see new weapon skill lines because the same one since launch is definitely stale, and as far as the new class “meh” not expecting much with great the last one they added was lol. Animations make look good but it’s not actual gameplay so TBD. Definitely underwhelming at best
Exactly. New class will end up using the same homogeneous builds and gear as all the others do. Boring. Not to mention another year of balancing nightmares and nerfing the new class into oblivion after everyone was foolish enough to buy into it. For as much hype as ZOS put into things the last few months, they really fell short. What's changing, really? Nothing but more hype and false promises. Been around this game long enough to know the developer ZOS thrives off of the hopium and copium rollercoaster when it comes to the players. Sitting this one out too, will check back in 2024...

Sorcerers badly need a revamp. Different pets/re-skins (like warden bear skin), better animations etc.

I've never understood the hype around new classes in well established MMOs. Typically, people try them, then go back to their main they've loved over many years, and progressed a lot with. Personally, I won't even touch it, since my main takes enough of my time as it is.
Btw, endless dungeon? What's the point with something like that? Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

For me I’m a person who loves the close range game with Magic. Being able to use swords, daggers etc. while having a pure Magicka build. I really think that ESO has failed us in this regard. Like yea you can Magicka dual wield but you don’t get any Magicka support from it tho. No refrain from heavy attacks nothin. I wish that they would make us Spellsword like players more support.
I didn't see close to enough in this to win me back in the game... the Arcanist is just going to be completely overpowered for a good while.
I think one thing ESO needs is a speed runner filter for dungeons. Far too many times I’m put in a dungeon with people just running through so fast that I lose track of them or I’m stuck behind a wave of aggroed mobs while my so called teammates are killing the boss halfway across the dungeon. I get that people who have been doing this for a while want to just go, but that leaves newer players, like myself, fumbling behind.
I've been playing since 2013 (Six months before public release, and have probably done all the pledge dungeons at least 1000 times each; and I still like to go slowly through a dungeon and explore... 'Cause I learn something new, find rare recipes, blueprints, designs, etc... which are sometimes only found in group dungeons, EVERY time... People who say they've done it a million times and don't have time to look around in a dungeons are either lying or just not doing it right.... People with trouble with the reward system and bugs, etc. will never be happy... so ZOS would be stupid to address those issues anyway... A lot of the bugs that aren't system related, can be attributed to user error....~~"ohhh, the quest-giver isn't where the arrow on the map says he will be.... Well, have you done all the things you have to do?? ~~no, I thought I could just take a short-cut... Well, you can't.... Maybe try listening to the dialogue all the way through... or pick up a book and read what to do... every dungeon I've been in has one...

This goes for any player in ESO who feels that their experience in ESO is being ruined by players RUSHIN' through content. Email me IN-GAME with a specific time, and a specific day of the week that works for you... I've seen "wannabe's" tryin' to run overland content and dungeons, but I've been running it right for almost ten years... I'd love the chance to do it the RIGHT way with you... I'm currently running with a "static group" (one that meets at a set time on a set day of the week on Tuesdays @5 EST... but I'm not married to that time, nor am I against the idea of running another group on another day....
YES. Long overdue. A massive oversight. New players without a friend will miss the entire story or all the loot rendering it a completely unfulfilling experience. God bless those players who actually take time and play as a team. It can be so mechanical otherwise. It almost negates the point of story/lore crafting and the brilliant VA. On the flip, grind, which is almost never a good thing, needs to be efficient for those with limited time to play (ie almost everyone). A pace preference filter would be the optimal solution.

Been playing since shortly after console launch. I’m doing dungeons to speedily obtain either the end of completion xp from the random or looking to farm out more than a hundred transmutes for the day. I’m not waiting for someone to look into every nook and cranny and/or open every container. If you want to, that’s on you. But I’m not responsible for your choices, only my own.
With how important Herma Mora is to the Bosmer, I hope it will be possible to play STAM Arcanist, it seems like a good fit for a Bosmer archer, both lore and gameplay wise.
My question is will they use the same voice actor from Skyrim for Hermaeus Mora because the ESO one is super basic
I think the class is cool until they nerf it in like 9 months or more after the sells start to drop and you go back to an old class. don't get me wrong the animations are cool but will they slow you down in the end game content? your thoughts?

Classes help with health of the game. New class causes old players to go back and make a new toon and of course redo a lot of content new players are doing. Never understood MMORPG's that never do new classes. The best way to breath life into a MMORPG is create some new classes.
A new class doesn't make up for U35 and U36, but it's better than a card game. From what I've seen Archarnist I'm interested to play the new class.

Personally, I enjoy the card game.... I guess some of the muscleheads who like to run into other muscleheads don't enjoy some PvP that requires thinking, but the card game is a great way to get PvP into a btoader audience...
@@marktazz4521 The problem wasn't the card game, it was the ONLY THING NEW they added. There was nothing other than a zone and new companions (way better companions than the ones on Blackwood btw).

I really can't understand how people playing in this. I mean... Guys, 2023! Finally, they add combo points to the class and sell it like something new. And of course "new" portals. What's next? Soulstones and summoning gates for instance? ))

So my fiancé and I tried eso for a few weeks… frankly we got so bored. The quests were dull, the combat was weak and repetitive, and most of the time was spent running around and talking. But the biggest complaint was the world seemed, I don’t know, soul-less. Not for everyone I guess.
It's a good thing you didn't get around to trying PvP. It's awful. I check for updates on CZcams from time to time, and it's nice to see people getting excited for a new update, but I've seen that before, and I was inevitably left disappointed.

I have been very critical of the game. I even stopped playing and have focused on New World for a while now. However, how can people be disappointed with the reveal? The new class looks really good, and I plan on returning to check it out with the new zone. New World will still be my main game, I am really into it right now, but damn, this reveal was awesome.
I was really hoping ESO was going to turn the corner with this expansion. Apparently, it's just another milk the fanbase type of situation.
I'm sorry, but how would you define "turning the corner?" Because as i see it, zos has the most fan service among all mmos in the market today. They may not have the best features or contents. But you can see that they give back to players by releasing contents yearly. I, as a minimal spender, can say that they give back my money's worth.
@@iljun3089 ZOS way overhyped everything and delivered minimally. They made it seem like the game was going through a MAJOR change this when really, nothing seems different other than them buying more time. They made that obvious when they announced the end of the year crap. It's damage control. No doubt due to all the backlash for the very lackluster content releases for years now. It's just a new class and chapter. Big deal, things like that should be a constant to keep things fresh. If you've been around this game for any amount of time, this isn't hard to see at all. It's great if you're happy and feel the game is worth it to you, but many of us don't feel that way and see things for what they are and have every right to express our criticisms and concerns, as do you.
Spot on & agreed Bryan. Typical ZOS. Personally, skipping this entire year as I've been through this wash, rinse, repeat cycle that ZOS is doing yet again. Will check back in 2024, if anything, that is where I believe things will be turning, for better or for worse.
@TerminalVelocity yeah i guess we do have personal preferences with games. At this moment i would grab anything elder scrolls related, or eso for that matter. I mean i do know there are issues and shortcomings from zos. But i can live with those.
This year chapter will be a big improvement, all chapters since Blackwood were really underwhelming. I would've liked to have Spellcrafting on ESO, but this class looks really good. Really excited for Necrom.
So they need to do something about jumping over or on stuff, why after the 4th try I can jump up/on/over why not 1st try after jumping properly, like feet dragging or something you all know what i mean freakin annoying
