"I solemnly pledge to consecrate my life to the service of humanity. I will give to my teachers - the respect and gratitude that is their due. I will practice my profession with conscience and dignity. The health of my patients will be my number one consideration. I will respect the secrets that are confided in me - even after my patient has died. I will maintain by all the means in my power - the honour and the noble traditions of the medical profession. My colleagues will be my sisters and brothers. I will not permit considerations of age, disease, or disability; Greed, ethnic origin, Gender, race, political affiliation, nationality, sexual orientation, social standing - or any other factor to intervene between my duty - and my patient. I will maintain the utmost respect for human life. I will not use my medical knowledge to violate human rights and civil liberties - even under threat. I make these promises solemnly, freely, and upon my honour." - Richard Webber, the physician's oath.
It's sad that man died alone with none of his family present. I admire the humanity within those doctors, even though AIDS, or as it was once called GRID, was not as well understood as it is now, to stop them from being with him when he passed, providing whatever comfort they could.
It was the dark and sad history of the LGBTQIA+ community. While the disease doesn’t care race, gender, sexuality; back then it was thought to only effect the LGBTQIA+ Community
I like how this episode doesn't just show Richard and Miranda as legends, but also Callie. Like she's basically been head of ortho even before becoming an attending. She deserved the respect
The fear and loneliness this disease brought to people. So sad. So many lives lost. It’s heartbreaking for the beginning, because people didn’t know what was happening. RIP To everyone who’s lost their lives to HIV/AIDS. 😭😭
I will maintain the upmost respect for human life.. What happened now with all the killing going on, all the abortions, all the gaslighting and insurance issues :(

One of Richard Webber's finest moments, this one.
Gre'ys anatomy had a lot of great moments, but in my opinion this is the most majestic of them all
