    ⭐️ Client Testimonial: “When I started my business, I spent hours online searching for equipment. Every company wanted to charge an arm and a leg for shipping… Clean Pro Supply didn’t charge me hardly anything. They sell the same excellent equipment everyone else does but marked down a lot cheaper. Also, I was denied financing equipment at another company but didn’t at Clean Pro Supply.
    The customer service is the best part of this company. Rachel, whom I’ve worked with, has had an answer for everything and always has the best advice. Five stars from me!!”

    Great video. Well presented. But wanted to bring up a slight correction. The 240V 30amp plug is providing 30amps per leg (per 120V circuit); this would mean the splitter you have on the 240V 30amp circuit would support 30amps for each connection (for a total of 60amps, not 30). The totals watts for the 240V 30amp connection would be around 7,200. The total watts for the 120V 30amp connection would be 3,600.

    It goes like this: One can not add up all the Amps at the same time. For you would go way higher than the 12,000 KW from your Generator. So remember this: it is "Kilowatts" that we are really working with.
    So IF you are using just under 50 Amps; on that largest receptacle X 240 V it = 12,000 KW. And that is IT! You could NOT use any other receptacle. But if you are not using but say; 35 amps, then you can use other receptacles. As long you don't exceed 50 Amps all together.

  • @spacecoastz4026
    @spacecoastz4026 Před rokem +2

    At 6:46 when you split the 240v 30 output into two 120v output, each leg is still limited to 15 amps each. You can't demand 25 amps on one leg and 5 amps on the other and think its ok.

    Great video, super helpful! The 120/240 outlets; Can I connect any 120 or 240 volts device on it? The idea is to connect a generator to a transfer switch and then supply power to a 240 V a/c unit and some 120 V appliances on the same generator.

    My new frig keeps tripping the breaker on my champion generator. I read that on some new frig’s this is an issue. Some people say the workaround is to use a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter. Any better ideas?

    • @robertweston2775
      @robertweston2775 Před rokem

      The 3-prong 30amp outlet is 120V. Try not to consider the number of outlets on the end of your 30amp cord, but the actual load that you are placing on the 30amp cord. You should be safe with a load as long as it is less than 30amps and is running 120V.

    I have a 2200 running watt generator and a 100 ft, 10 gauge extension cord. Would it wrong to plug in an extra 75 ft, 12 gauge reel extension cord to the 100 ft extension cord to power household items?

    Question. I'm trying to power a AC on a generator. Ac is 115v 25amps. What plug should i use? NEMA L6-30P Twist ??

    • @cleanprosupport
      @cleanprosupport Před 10 měsíci +1

      According to our technicians, as long as the receptacle you're plugging into can support that plug, you should be fine to use it.

  • @MrBritrider

    Why are there two 120V outlets when you should only use one of them per leg?

    • @cleanprosupport
      @cleanprosupport Před 3 dny

      Great question ! You can use both if they're low amp draw appliances. However, when using high amp equipment, you only need one plugged into each circuit.

    What if I'm trying to plug into a nema 14-50r female that goes to a home? I can't seem to find any 50a power cords that go male-male.

    • @robertweston2775
      @robertweston2775 Před rokem

      You will not be able to find (legally) any cords that are male-male. These cords are called "suicide cords", because they can kill people if the ends are accidentally touched by someone while the cord is energized. The 14-50R plug on your home does not sound right... a generator inlet box will have the correct type of connector for your house.

    How would you wire or where would get a cable that has a 3-prong male end for plugging into a generator's 30 amp 3-hole receptacle and a 4-hole female end for plugging into a 30 amp 4-prong outlet connected to a house's 30 amp circuit? My generator doesn't have a 4-hole 30 amp receptacle to match the house's.
