Season 13 was too easy so I took the Twinsteer to carry the salte blocks out of the quarry. My other most used trucks were the Tatra Force, Tayga 6455B (because it's so much better than the other one), Kolob 74760, PLAD450, Step 39331Pike (always a great choice, fast and has no problems with mud, and the TUZ108 for scouting
Even if I've done 98% of Almaty, it's always nice to watch one of your "BEST trucks" videos, Ben! Two more trucks I've enjoyed using beside your recommended bunch have been the Step 39331 Pike and the White Western Star 4964. It's amazing to see this old timer still getting around nicely in later seasons. Oh, and even though there aren't many logging missions (thank Christ), I definitely recommend the Aramatsu Forester for those, because it tackles the irregular, rock-ridden dirt roads of Almaty with aplomb without losing and scattering logs all around. Cheers, Rick. The Pike, as you may know, has featured in a best trucks roundup before. Absolutely excellent machine! The WWS 4964 is a year one veteran I forget to try but I suspect it would be solid too. And yeah, the Forester is my logging choice. Or maybe was, there is at least one new contender but I need to test it more!
My trucks for Season 13 were mostly highway and heavy-duty (surprise-surprise, as if any of the new regions since S10 BC was difficult enough to justify using an offroad truck..). I used the Ford CLT 9000, International Transtar, International HX520, Kenworth W990, Chevrolet Kodiak, Western Star 49X and 47X NF1430 and so on. I also used Kolob 74941 and Boar 45318 for handling them heavy mission semitrailers and even an 8-slot superheavy. Offroad trucks were almost not used at all - except Mack Defense, Voron Grad and Tatra Phoenix. Also, the TwinSteer and the FEMM-37 saved my bacon when it came to hauling so many cargoes.
Nice selection. I agree, you could argue my suggestions are overkill but I think getting the map done without too much hassle was my aim. It's not a bad season, just wasn't my favourite. I'm already preferring Season 14.
Hey ben!! Have you seen the trailer of roadcraft??? Looks like another DLC for snowrunner, like expeditions back in the day, but now you can make asphalt roads for yourself
We’d need a map in Quebec, Canada. It would resemble Ontario as it’s quite close, but would be more of a mountain map. The northern part of Quebec though looks a lot like Iceland. That would be nice as well
Depending on route/truck choice you could make this map pretty easy, but if you picked the more difficult routes in-and-out of the quarries, it provided a welcomed challenge. I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever get another all-snow region. The game's name hasn't changed... I'm not asking for Amur Part 2, but at least something that doesn't feel like white mud.

Tatra Phoenix mediocre? I'm not sure we've been playing the same game, but pretty sure Phoenix was one of the best trucks in game. Since the beginning.

I always liked the tatra phoenix, did not realise it had been buffed though. Not a big fan of the new scout, never really liked the burlak either. Guess the track, I'm gonna say Cadwell Park?
That's perhaps because I didn't want to prolong the map! Although I did say early on this is a place for a wider array of trucks. I actually wanted to include the W990 as it's been buffed but it got stuck in one of the few muddy areas so that went in the bin.
It's short relative to some of the new 'super trucks' and I seem to remember thinking the distance to the saddle isn't as long as some of its competitors, which helps. Being longer but tucked under the trailer isn't such a factor, I always find.
I mostly use mods anymore because I'm bored of the base game trucks and tires some of the tires from mods are so cool more so on PC through but there are some good ones on console also there have also been some amazing maps made also I'm playing one now that I think is in Russia I just started it but is one of the best maps I've ever seen it's got a statue in it that you can see across the whole map everyone needs to check it out it's better than maps the Devs make
Hello there, i could use some help. It's been along time and now i want to take it up again. Question: If i start a "New game", will the ongoing (Old saved game) game be deleted or can i have more than one game saved? VERY scared of tapping "New game", lol
If you've been playing a while, you could say that. But I do try to tailor to each region's particular challenges in some way. Hopefully people find it useful but I know many players are already super knowledgeable and some trucks really are excellent no matter where they are!

Brave taking the Twinny, although I do love it and the lower suspension and smaller wheels help a lot! Love the Pike and 108 too. Good choices.
Tatra Force has advanced special gearbox, so no AWD penalty, no point in having AWD off
Strange that Ben doesn't know this after all these years.
Use Multipurpose gearbox. If there is enough power then there is no point in using advanced special.

It's mid tier when the going gets really tough.
It always was good, but lacked versatility. Now it's almost the king of offroad class, slightly behind the Tayga 6455B.
