Let's not forget that Izayoi is indeed very powerful, but even he has to face stronger opponents and rely on his comrades to win - and he's very aware of that. Plus, Izayoi cares *a lot* about *everyone* from his team, so he's not only very powerful and smart, but also emphatic. He's one of the best male main characters I ever saw

It was adapted from a light novel, and as far as i know they only got to adapt 2 volumes out of the 8 currently volumes.
so, it cannot be mainstream.
