never cared for the Iron Spider concept but this looks sick. good call on the metal arms! Any spidey suit makes me wonder how the whole "stick to the walls" ability works, especially this suit. I like the addition of the collection pan at the end!

Definitely seems like a much better statue after looking at it more closely with you here. I think the lack of texture in the red makes it appear cheap at first.

I don't care for the base but Spidey himself looks mightily impressive. The hi-gloss paint job is very reminiscent of the Bowen Iron Spider bust!

Its a beautiful statue, especially Spider-Man. The colors pop and the textures are well done. My only con is that base. I'm not sure what that's supposed to be, If all they did was rubble but included Captain America's Shield and Iron Man's Helmet, then it'd have made this already good piece more intense

I like how the XM's have the cool art prints with their statues. This Iron Spidey is straight fire, I always liked the Armor Wars and 2099 cards when looking through my father's bindered Marvel sets. Be Excellent

I think I figured out the 'inspiration' for that base. Whenever you get a chance, check out pictures of the XM Starscream's Base. Remove those hexagons and what do you have left?
After watching your review I pulled the trigger on this guy. I was torn between getting this or the Queen Iron Spider. I agree, its a rare case where I liked the MCU costume more than the comics (I never saw any practical use for 3 legs). But I love the fire truck red on this one, I think he's more scaled (QS looks tiny) and overall I think this guy has more presence. I'll be putting him next to my P1 Venom. Hopefully they get along ;)

finally caught up on ram v's swamp thing with levi the new avatar. It is neat and quite well written/interesting but still doesnt hold a candle to the mind bending stories soule weaved during the new 52. Really hope alec still comes back in some or fashion I feel like he was just getting started.

It’s cool that you can position the arms however you like, and just over $900 is a good price for the 1/4 scale. I actually can’t remember what prices they’re supposed to be, I’m just going by the Prime1Studios Berserk 1/4 scale line.

I never understood why they drew him with 3 metal legs, he's a spider, it should be 4, that's why I like the MCU Iron Spider.
I like it. Not my favorite outfit, that's prolly 2099. But still, pretty good!
To this day I'll never understand how they thought 3 legs instead of 4 was a good idea or look.
Hey Gem, at 1:45 are those real cables or are they sculpted? The metal spider arms was a nice touch.
I don't know anything about Iron Spider other than the MCU version so I don't know the story about the comics version but why does he only have 3 mechanical arms? Wouldn't it make sense to have 4 so he has 8 appendages just like a spider?
I also prefer the MCU version over the comic (design, especially having 4 arms instead of 3), so I didn't pay much attention to this either. This video impressed me tho. The adjustable arms was mind blowing - great thinking XM!!! With the arms being real metal, is there a chance their weight might cause damage to the polystone figure/body down the line?
