Little River 1 & 110: Doubleheading on the Old Road

- In the spring of 2024 the Little River Railroad of Coldwater, Michigan celebrated 50 years since founder Terry Bloom rescued locomotive 110 from dereliction in Seymour, Tennessee and brought it home with him to Indiana, where he restored it to operation and began offering excursions on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad. To mark the occasion, 110 and tank engine no. 1 pulled a doubleheader excursion from Coldwater to Quincy along the ex-New York Central "Old Road." While a relatively short run, seeing these two beautifully restored locomotives ramble through the Michigan countryside was well worth the trip up from 110's old home in Tennessee and it was great to be present on such a historic occasion.
Also included is a shot of Amtrak Midwest's Wolverine departing Battle Creek earlier that morning. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
No way guys, I'm in a Smoky Mtn Steam video! 6:22 and 13:26 in the stock car!
So, you're telling ME that you appeared in a Smoky Mtn Steam video. I thought I was the only one who did that.
I grew up playing on the 110 when I was a kid. It was parked behind my great uncle’s store in Seymour Tn. Of course back in the day it was the Smoky Mt 110. I must admit that when it was hauled away I was heart broken. But seeing it now, brings tears to my eyes. Tears of joy. So glad someone cared enough to restore this historic engine. I was riding this trip! You can see me and my friend pop our heads out of the vestibule of the combine car as the train stops and again at the engines are whistling for the runaround! Great video!
