What about downtown? The greatest view of NYC in my opinion is on the BQE around a half mile before the Brooklyn Bridge exit. It is a real treat on a clear evening just after sunset. The downtown skyline is staring you right in the face. The WTC rises behind it. It's a very inspiring view.
