I tried to do the challenge with my kids.. BAD IDEA😭🤣.. They're addicts, drunks. 😂Too much was getting taken out... Nooo, I pulled out my lil money nd went solo.. Buying pampers, formula, the baby need this nd that.. Man hold up that's like I'm raising kids again... 😢.. So we have separate accounts now... Everyone hold yourselves accountable.. Well in this family you will. 😂😂

Sounds nice but not true!!! All else being equal it is more about how much you make because saving is only possible with some type of income!!!!
True! There needs to be a balance between income and saving. Without income, theres no budget and no saving.

We are doing 52 fridays 20.00 and this one 3x's in my household. Cutting my spending and budgeting so we can get this going. These 2 challenges will fund the 3 mos folder for bills and or emergency binder I have...🎉🎉🎉🎉lets go

Investment accounts can be a Roth IRA, retirement funds, stocks accounts (I use acorns since I’m new to investing). There’s numerous of videos by people who has an extensive knowledge on CZcams if you like to do more research on it.

I didn't know where to buy it but found an old empy photo album that has 100 of those old envelopes for photos ¡My luck!
That’s great! You can definitely use empty photo albums to create your own and customize the increments that fits your budget best 👏

So easy. I’ve always been good with money - I purposely put every little bit of cash that comes in even if it’s a high amount goes in and in the safe - I find myself totally forgetting about it when I’m thinking I need extra money for what I have to buy- so I figure it out and then after I think well damn I had plenty - glad I kept forgetting. Just makes me grind harder like I’m broke 🤣 got two books going and I double every slot so I’ll have close to 11 grand within 3-4 months
Yes! I end up forgetting about the cash at home as well especially since it’s hidden in a safe. It’s fun to find cash randomly while I thought I was broke 😆

If that's just a sheet protector on the tracker sheet or fully laminated, you can use a wet erase marker instead of a sharpy or dry erase.

Just like SilverBuck and Cheryl who are online with CZcams videos. I have been doing a 100 count of every denomination challenge. So what you do is save 100 count of the ones, 100 count of the two's, 100 count of the fives, 100 count of the tens, and so on. If you complete all denominations including 100 count of the two dollar bills, you will have $18,800. So far I've completed 100 of the ones, 100 of the two's, 100 of the fives, 100 of the tens, 100 of the twenties and 73 of the fifties and 82 of the hundreds as of 07/21/24. When I finish with a hundred of a denomination. I will put a money wrap around it, signifying that a 100 count of the denomination is done. You don't have to color, you don't have to put a certain amount in. Just save on your terms!

Do you use a washable marker for the tracker so once it's filled you can erase and start new? Or do you make a new sheet each time?
These trackers are laminated so you can use a sharpie and be able to erased the markings with acetone and a towel.

Unfortunately no, I don’t do this everyday or once a week. Realistic I stuff cash in when I have leftover money after paying for my bills and necessities after each payday. So this varies a lot.

Is difficult to understand how to save over $5000 I just got my envelope binder and so far I have put $84 in it today
It really depends on your budget. Some people are able to finish this challenge within a year and other take longer. Personally, this challenge is not a priority so I don’t expect to finish this challenge anytime soon. But the key is consistency whether it is to add on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis. You will slowly see it fill up ☺️
Breaks down to $50.50 each week. $50.50 I'd much rather have invested so it makes money for me. Not just sit in a drawer. Give your money a job and it will make money for you.
Yes I agree absolutely with having the money in a high yielding account. I usually cash stuff with my “leftover” from the week and then gets deposited on a monthly basis, but it depends on the situation. This is different for everyone.

It really depends on your budget. I’m only able to add once a month or when I have “leftover change” from my weekly budget.

It’s up to you. Personally, I like to go in numerical order. I don’t add cash to this challenge on a daily basis. I only add when I have leftover cash from my weekly budget. Sometimes I have a dollar and other times I have more or none at all. How much you are to add to this challenge really depends on your personal budget.

I made it specifically for this 100 envelopes challenge binder set which I sold in my shop

Stupid question:) where do you get cash from? Do you withdraw it from the bank and save from a different category?
Basically yes, I withdraw a certain amount every payday and put it according to my categories. But these categories that I cash stuff is my short term categories. Meaning this is what I will be spending throughout the month or next few months. I don’t withdraw anything for monthly bills like rent, utilities, etc since I automatically pay for those as soon as I get paid.
I'd hate to do this and someone steal it from me 😭
I recommend everyone to always have a fire proof safe in their home in order to keep important documents and money secured at all times. Honestly, as satisfying as it would be to unstuff all these pockets, I value accruing interest on my money more. So I actually deposit the cash once I reach a certain amount and insert placeholders in the already filled pockets instead of the cash.

Previously, I was adding to this savings challenge once a month, but now, only when I essentially have “leftover money” from my budgeted spending since this isn’t my priority saving right now.

Honestly, the higher numbers are too much for my budget so when I fill up the lower numbers, I would combine some of them to fill the larger numbers so that I can continue the saving challenges.

@@blessedchildofgod9112 it’s okay! As long as your able to pay for your necessities, you’re doing great! ☺️ my income fluctuates from month to month. Some months I barely have enough and other months, I have some extra cash. When I do, it goes straight to savings for emergencies. When I don’t have enough, I try to get creative and find other income sources to supplement my main income. 🙂

There are 100 icons with different numbers from 1-100. If you add all the numbers together, it will be $5,050.
How would this work if I get payed every two weeks
You can set aside a certain amount from each paycheck to add to your savings challenge.
Weekly $ amount x's by 2 for bi-weekly pay.

The cash eventually goes into a savings account after a certain amount. For me, the cash I add to this binder is my cash on hand after my weekly spending. So I don’t get to do this very often.
