    I’ve always been an alternative “it was never a phase mom” goth/grunge lover. Definitely an all black wardrobe type. But since becoming a mom it’s been so hard finding a way to make the style I naturally gravitate to more functional 😢 this video helped with ideas so much!!!

    Im leaning towards some kind of barbie-academia 😂 I adore pink, and preppy outfits. Where you live definitely influences these things too. Since I moved to a city I want to stand out more, love these ideas ❤❤

    Hi Natasha! This is a great video, the part about minimal fashion spoke to me so much. I have simple clothes and layers, but sometimes felt that I look too bulky and my looks are unflattering, especially in the winter as a petite and slightly curvy woman, yet accessorizing to change that is hard for me... I'll keep an eye on fit and shape next time I'm getting clothes. Thanks for the inspo!

    • @natashaitzcovitz
      @natashaitzcovitz  Před rokem

      Hi Bree! Thank you, I'm really happy to hear that. As a fellow petite woman I agree fit is so important - you don't want to get lost under fabric and lose those lovely curves. I hope you find the perfect shapes for you! Keep going with the accessories, and remember smaller people suit more delicate accessories i.e thin belts, less chunky jewellery 💪

    I’ve just seen skater jeans are coming back. That was my style at college/uni but had to leave the ‘style’ when skinny jeans came in. Going to get a pair for old times sake.

    I love Princess Diana's casual outfits that she used to wear. There's a few outfits of hers where she wears white ankle socks with trainers and bike shorts - the only thing is, she was 5'8, I'm only 5'1, so I feel like longer socks cut my legs up and make them appear even shorter? Do you think someone so short can pull this look off? I have the same issue with doc marten boots and skirts - they make my legs look shorter but I love this style!!

    • @natashaitzcovitz
      @natashaitzcovitz  Před rokem +1

      Ooo yes, love her casual style and definitely commiserate with the petite problems being 4'11 myself. Longer socks and boots (over the knee) help create a long coloured leg and wearing those socks with a shoe of the same colour extends the illusion of length even more. Also picking bike shorts the same colour as the sweatshirt could help you make that Diana look work for you. Hope this helps ☺

    Thanks for the info so far ! I’ve always liked the 50’s style but my figure doesn’t fit that shape ! I would like to know how to realise that look ! And I would like to know how to match getting older when you like a certain way to dress ! Things that looked very good when you are younger but look frumpy when you get older ! 😢

    • @natashaitzcovitz
      @natashaitzcovitz  Před rokem +1

      I’d love to help you make 50’s style work for you - there’s always a way! I’d say confidence is key, whatever you’re happy in is always best, no matter your age. Style always evolves, it may be that what you wore when you were younger no longer works for you but that’s not a bad thing. It’s good to find new ways to express yourself through fashion which I’m sure you’ll do! Don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun 💪

    What advice would you give someone who doesn’t have a set style and would love to have one but is nervous about starting? I’m in scrubs Monday through Friday and pretty much anytime I’m not in at work I’m in leggings and a t-shirt. I want to expand my stylistic horizons but I’m definitely anxious about starting!

    • @natashaitzcovitz
      @natashaitzcovitz  Před rokem +2

      I think first have an end-goal of where you'd like to your style to go and try bits in small doses, doesn't have to be drastic from the get go. Like keep your leggings and a t-shirt but try them with a few accessories/pieces of your target style and gradually add your new style that way. Just start in front of the mirror seeing how you feel, take pictures of yourself for reference, then step by step go out to places like the grocery store in your outfits! Build up that confidence until you're ready to show someone like a close friend and you can continue to build the looks up. Hope this helps! ☺

    I feel like my style is split into 2 definitive halves, and I love both but don't know how to mix it. I've got lots of classic, tailored clothes in neutrals and soft blues (think Parisian inspired) but then a jumper collection that's more kids TV presenter which I pair with jeans or navy cord dungarees for more relaxed outfits.
    Any suggestions on how to mix both sides cohesively?

    • @natashaitzcovitz
      @natashaitzcovitz  Před rokem +2

      It’s great that you love both styles! You don’t have to mix them if that doesn’t work, it could be that you pick a different one for every occasion. But I think a funky jumper under a neutral suit with some trainers could be a fun mix to try as well. The neutrals will let the jumper sing and tone down the tailored pieces for every day wear.

      I have the same thing! One half is tailored, only in darker colors, and one half what I call colorful modern but I like your description of kids tv show presenter better! They rarely mix, except for the pants, sometimes. I am even thinking of splitting my wardrobe into these two halves. Cheers!

    I’m def grandma but idk about the chic part, I love to make holiday sweatshirts with my cutting machine and live in them all year round. I feel so basic, idk how to amp up my wardrobe. I never leave the house bc I have a toddler so I’m just in sweats all the time lol

      Hand-made sweatshirts sound pretty cool to me! Perhaps try pairing them with some interesting bottoms like patterned trousers and skirts. A funky shoe always perks up a look too and accessories definitely make a difference like that headband you're wearing in your picture! ☺
