    I totally agree with you, a lot of people we deal with in trucking still depending on paper like they still in the golden age. I do everything from my phone (fill out forms, sign docs even print direct from phone) make life so much easier

      Thanks for the comment. Do you use a TMS, electronic bill of lading or any car hauling software? Also, what ELD are you using?

    • @tabornokkorkolon5256

      Auto Transport Intel good day what is TMS? and ELD? means? Thanks

    • @ATIAutoBusiness
      @ATIAutoBusiness Před 5 lety

      Thank you for asking. TMS = Transportation Management System. A software for managing your loads and information. Where do you keep your current load information? On paper? What about all the bills of lading and photos and invoices? All separate pieces of paper? There has to be a better way...right?

    • @ATIAutoBusiness
      @ATIAutoBusiness Před 5 lety

      ELD = Electronic Logging Device. How to you manage and keep your Hours of Service information and on-duty/off-duty status? Federal law now requires you to maintain this information on an Electronic Logging Device that is connected to your power unit. Are you ELD compliant?

      hey bud, im in the same boat. Have you done your research. A lot of what I seen is knowing the industry and terminology. As long as you have a truck and hauler and a load board should be easy or at least to get the loads
      .

    How does the 9 car hauling trucks get all new cars

    • @ATIAutoBusiness
      @ATIAutoBusiness Před 6 měsíci

      Traditionally, automakers want 9-car haulers to move large quantities of inventory fast. Most of those 9-car haulers are loaded and driven by company drivers that work for large carriers that can serve the needs of automakers. Many independent 9-car haulers have to regularly search for loads like most independent wedge carriers - which usually are serving the used car market shipping demand.

    What is the problem with double listed?

    • @ATIAutoBusiness
      @ATIAutoBusiness Před 6 lety +1

      Thank you for the question. "Double-Listed" loads are essentially a symptom and red flag of one (or a combination) of several shipping problems, including, but not limited, to: 1) customer is not satisfied with their broker, 2) the price is wrong, 3) pickup or delivery time frames don't fit expectations, 4) a detail about the load is incorrect, or 5) the shipping customer is not even aware of one of the postings and could become a total waste of time. There's probably even more reasons but I think you get the gist. Does that make sense?

    • @seankeefe6859
      @seankeefe6859 Před 6 lety

      thanks for the speedy response. Yes, that is very helpful. I'm sure I'll have more questions as we go on, we are new to the business and trying to make the most of it.
