Ah, yes, Latvians, the true authority on American accents.
Guessing it comes from US military being stationed in and around Baltic states.
Never underestimate the unjustified confidence of Europeans
@@jb76489 Bro, for real, Europeans have such a superiority complex.
Actually we are 💅
@@jb76489Hey now, our confidence is wholly justified. I cant quite justify why, but its definitly justified 😤😤
Boba: Stops putting on fake hayseed accent.
Them: "Who are you and where's that american we were just talking to?!"
Now we need a Boba "Real Accent" stream
To be fair thats the accent of an American raised on British youtube videos
I guess they couldn't take their Yees being Hawed.
If you look at the videos from when boba first joined the Yogscast, her accent is slowly becoming more British and less American
*Nature is healing*
Reminds me of when I joined the RAF. I was born in Inverness, Scotland, and my entire time in basic nobody'd believe me because I didn't really sound it. Leastways until I got upset or drunk, THEN it came out a bit easier. Nowadays, it's a *lot* harder to tell as I can't really speak so people just have to guess based off how I write.
Vibes. Grew up in the south but moved around a lot. Developed a non descript accent as a child because people will treat you funny if they think they know something about you.
When a lot of European’s speak English they can adopt an American sounding accent, that’s what I think you sound like to me Boba. I’m from England and went to Uni with people from all around Europe.
Weird. As an American, I can often tell when a non native speaker learns English in UK. They have some similar vocal and pitch ticks. Raphael from Metatron comes to mind. He's got an Italian/British accent.
It seems like a lot of non Americans think the only American accent is the southern accent
I've had that before, people telling me I can't be Australian because I don't sound Australian enough 😅 I think some people really pride themselves on thinking they can tell where anyone is from and if you don't meet their expectations, you're obviously lying 🙄 Because they couldn't possibly be wrong, could they? 😉
Ego is a hell of a thing
Boba country accent is real accent confirmed
boba always sounded like a female sips to me, idk if thats just me though
they've gained a streamer trans-atlantic accent by talking to so many brits
Her accent is Adorable
That was a really good country accent lol
Boba has had a typical conversation most people have had with yanks, only this time she wasn't the yank, the Latvians were.
Living on the west coast all I can say is that the accent I and most people around me have are akin to chat bots. Like it's so boring and clinical.
Yeah I've noticed from watching a lot of British TV they seem to think we all have a Texas accent.
Tbf Boba does have an accent, it almost feels like it has a hint of British in it
Basically the rest of the world when they hear a London accent and think they're doing a funny voice on purpose
Sheesh everyone knows if you don't sound like you snort cornbread every morning then you're not American xD
Shoot far that’s how everyone sounds in my town.
I'm from Latvia, but that wasn't me. There are not that many of us left. :D
What region of America is Boba’s accent from?
florida, but probably autism accent tbh
To be fair, I've lived in Canada and the United states (Texas) and have international family and when I first heard boba, I couldn't tell AT ALL where her accent was from. When I finally heard she was from Florida, I was like "how?" But I guess it depends how long she's been in the UK. Also, her manner of speaking, her enunciation, isn't typically (or stereotypically) Floridian. No offense intended.
assuming this is before Boba started integrating britishisms into her speech
I've been trying to figure out what your accent is this whole time. It sounds like maybe a Scandinavian who has been living in America for a long time? You definitely have some speech patterns and accent fragments that are super unlike the vast majority of Americans.
Edit: I believe you when you say it's just American, my point is that you do sound specifically non-American.
So glad it's not just me, when I first heard Boba I thought she was from a Scandinavian country 😅
Classic latvians amirite
Europeans have no idea how huge America is. Theres tons of dialects in the UK... a place smaller than Texas... one of our states...
I think it is funny that the american accent is changing and people just will not accept it lol xD
I will say that you do have a different accent than a 'typical American'. I wonder if it's Floridian? You know like how Bostonians have their own type of American accent, or Minnesotans, etc.
Imagine a southern state citizen not sounding southern enough lol. Like darlin', we from Flahrida, yous ain't got no state mo' south than us. This is as south as you git.
My Little Havana, Miami accent would have them thinkin' I'm Mexican.
Where is she from though? I’ve never heard an accent like hers.
America. Possibly Florida.
Florida but idk what part
America. Her accent just sounds like middle America to me, not southern or pertaining to a particular region.
Thank god your real voice isn't as bad as that fake one
Weirdly if you have autism you don’t really have an accent that’s too defined, but when you spend time with people your accent morphs to be like theres
Howdy y'all! Seriously, Southern Boba makes me chuckle all the time
deffo sounds American but for sure more of a British twist on some words now she spends so much time with yogs
I think the British stuff is just to fit in with the British group and audience lol.
yeah I'ved heard boba convert saying w'oter in a vid!! they've corrupted her
Be European and be proud Boba. Take not sounding American as a compliment!
