my friend and i often write together when we hang out. We can go hours not saying anything. but complete silence is also,- eerie. so we usually have ambiences like these o keep us focused and have some noise. Just got back from her, this is the one we listened today. Immediatley went on youtube to try and find it again! genuinly one of the most calming ones i had :D

And great idea that you use these videos to kind of bridge the complete silence (which I agree is really spooky😅😅). I also often come back to the same videos mostly for falling asleep but also for calming down. It's also so nice to kind of take short vacations so to speak, to just escape the daily things or kind of set the scene when you're writing. I'm really so grateful I found these kind of videos. (sorry for the long comment btw. 😬😬)

Using this to read Lord of the Rings. Honestly enjoy reading but in dead silence I can't concentrate and get bored too quickly, this really helps and blends into the background perfectly
Using this to read The Wind-up bird chronicle. There's too much noise outside and I live with my mother and she's a chatty person. To read I needed something like this to create that blank canvas in my mind.

I am severely hearing impaired and I don’t have the privilege to hear rain or thunder like others can so I LOVE these videos! I put my headphones in and I concentrate so much better on my book I am reading at the time.

I use this video regularly when I read.
I have tinnitus and having it completely quiet just makes me hear the ringing in my ear more. So having background sounds like white noise, rain and a nice ambience really helps me and masks the tinnitus.
I love the sound of rain and storms and this video makes me feel cosy indoors.
I love the visual too if I just want to Chromecast it the TV and just want to relax.

I wish I could live in a home like this. And though it's raining outside and a stormy wind is blowing I let play these beautiful sounds while doing my work. Everyone else calls me crazy since I love rain and wind and feel uncomfortable in summer with heat and sun and endless daylight.
Thank god the days are becoming shorter and autumn is waiting around the corner 🙂
