Mac miller was a whole different breed ushered in a new generation. It was weird, like it didn’t matter he was white, he didn’t make CapRap or try to be hard, there was something in his authenticity and genuine love for rap that made him a legend. Like he really just loved the craft and I really think the stardom got to him, it probably wasn’t what he imagined. I feel Mac was a real artist, he just wanted to make music and have fun but the pressure of the industry and fake people, probably lead to his battle with addiction and crumbling under the stress of fame. It’s sad because watching these early Mac videos you can see a happy young guy who really is just enjoying doing his thing.

Now I am 22 and re-listen to his music every year attempting to relate to and understand what he was experiencing when he was my age. Mac's music is timeless. Although it will not be soon, I dread the day I reach the end of the playback. I can only hope in whatever life comes next, Mac will be there, with the years and years of lost messages and lost music we have to live this life without. I miss him man. It does my heart good to know that with us a part of his life still lives on.

Mac miller was a whole different breed ushered in a new generation. It was weird, like it didn’t matter he was white, he didn’t make CapRap or try to be hard, there was something in his authenticity and genuine love for rap that made him a legend. Like he really just loved the craft and I really think the stardom got to him, it probably wasn’t what he imagined.
I feel Mac was a real artist, he just wanted to make music and have fun but the pressure of the industry and fake people, probably lead to his battle with addiction and crumbling under the stress of fame.
It’s sad because watching these early Mac videos you can see a happy young guy who really is just enjoying doing his thing.
I used to jam out to this song when I was in college. Being a sophomore back then, it was a real trip blastin this dope jam in my car and singing along with my friends while going to classes and road trips. It really breaks my heart to hear this tragic news right now but I know you'll be knocking on them heaven's door RIP Mac..

I remember listening to this for the fist time in 7th grade in the locker room after a track meet. I've been in love with Mac's music ever since. I was 12 then - Mac was 19. Now I am 22 and re-listen to his music every year attempting to relate to and understand what he was experiencing when he was my age. Mac's music is timeless. Although it will not be soon, I dread the day I reach the end of the playback. I can only hope in whatever life comes next, Mac will be there, with the years and years of lost messages and lost music we have to live this life without. I miss him man. It does my heart good to know that with us a part of his life still lives on.

Man as someone who has never been much into Rap/HipHop I remember my younger brother showing me this song years ago and I immediately liked it. Then I would listen more of his songs here and there like "Donald Trump", "Best Day Ever", and "Hurt Feelings" and I began to really get into his stuff and gained a new appreciation for rap along with the work of Eminem and Tupac. Honestly when Mac died in 2018 it sucked, this guy was a very diverse artist who could have gone anywhere, RIP.
