  • Two different excursion trains are seen on the Furness railway. Royal Scot hauled 'Cumbrian Coast Express' seen at Askam in Furness and Lindal in Furness in Cumbria followed by the Class 57 hauled 'Cumbrian Docker' seen traversing the Barrow docks line. with a couple of glimpses of DRS freights seen from the slag bank just outside Barrow station. Scots Guardsman's whistle valve seems to be stuck open as it climbs Lindal bank. On the Docker both the 57s and the coaching stock grind their way around the sharp curve on the approach to Ramsden Dock

I remember this at Workington we had to stop it from going any further on the docks as we had a lifeboat call out & some of the crew would not have made it if we did not stop it.

Seeing a passenger train round the back of Cavendish Dock... seems very strange!

It was a one-off really. operationally a bit of a nightmare as we knew Mk 1 coaches had derailed up there before (not us) but all went well on the day. The BLS wanted to go down the track behind the Nuclear terminal and into it as well but we poiltely had to say 'No'

People like me who's hobby is trains, just because it might not appeal to you, doesn't mean you have to comment saying "Who in the world would put videos of rains on CZcams", a quick search on CZcams and you'll find that there are thousands of videos of trains on here, steam, diesel and electric. If you don't like a video, just move on, why feel the need to comment or dislike a video?
Trains are part of Britain's history and people enjoy preserving them for the future generations to enjoy in years to come. Just because you might not find them interesting doesn't mean others don't.
