Damn I can't believe this song was recorded in 1977. That beginning part is legit some neoclassical shred before Yngwie took stage. Uli Roth is a legend!

Right, listening to “Hotel California” you would think that’d be the clearest example of 70’s music until you hear this Scorpion song, it amazes me how Uli was the underdog of the early metal sound!
If I'd learned this as well as you on guitar when I was 15 years old, I'd probably be a 35 year old grand father from several different women.

Its never too late, i myself is 53 y/o and trying to play this music, i remember during the 80's and 90's, there was no youtube where we can learn, we have to use our ears and rewind those cassettes many times just to learn a solo or a riff. Its easier now to learn .Thanks for making these kinds of videos so that we can learn the easier way.
The fact that Uli didn't put another solo in the middle of the song is a remind that life is not fair.

True. But what hurts me the most is that the song ends in a fade out, during my favorite part of it, that outro is like a whole different story thats being told: cleaner tone, more harmonic variety, similar ideas but different paths. I just wanna know what was next!

The greatest guitar lead ever. Such an awesome lead that Scorpions put it at the beginning of the song, as they felt that we should not have to wait to hear Uli's lightning quick delivery of the absolutely perfect arrangement of notes.
