This is the exact truth! Babies need engagement and for you to allow them to engage with the world around them that they're trying to figure out. That means let them do more than be stowed away in a crib all day. And consider that "baby talk" only makes YOU look foolish. They're a developing person. Not some cute piece of property. They'll develop faster when you do that. I've seen that played out with multiple babies, including my little sister. We talked all the time and she was walking and talking and potty trained early. Plus, knew how to read by the time she started school. And if you're patient with them and build a relationship with them, you'll begin to understand what they're trying to tell you before they're able to actually talk.
